MysteryThemes Toolkit provides lightweight, theme-independent Gutenberg blocks designed to enhance content presentation across MysteryThemes themes and any compatible WordPress theme.
Version 1.0.0 includes 3 polished Gutenberg blocks:
- MT: Post Meta: Configurable post metadata display supporting author, date, modified date, categories, comments, item ordering, separator styles, and icons.
- MT: Content Info: Clean post statistics block presenting estimated reading time, total word count, publication date, updated date, and author.
- MT: Post Navigation: Responsive previous/next post links featuring titles, thumbnails, dates, categories, grid/stack layouts, and custom typography controls.

Usage
- Open any post or page in the Gutenberg Block Editor.
- Click the block inserter (
+) and look for the MysteryThemes Toolkit category at the top of the inserter. - Select any Toolkit block: MT: Post Meta, MT: Content Info, or MT: Post Navigation.
- Use the horizontal Content and Design tabs in the sidebar to customize options.

Blocks
This plugin provides 3 blocks.
- MT: Post Navigation Display links to the previous and next posts with optional featured image, title, date, and category.
- MT: Post Meta Display selected post metadata such as author, date, categories, comments, and reading time.
- MT: Content Info Display post statistics such as reading time, word count, date, modified date, and author.
Installation
- Upload the
mysterythemes-toolkitfolder to your/wp-content/plugins/directory. - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
- Open the Block Editor (Gutenberg) and find the MysteryThemes Toolkit block category.

Does this plugin require a MysteryThemes theme?

No. All Toolkit blocks are fully theme-independent and work with any compatible WordPress theme.

Does the plugin replace existing theme features?

No. Toolkit blocks are opt-in Gutenberg blocks and do not replace theme templates or core features.

Yes. You can customize colors, font sizes, spacing, borders, padding, and alignment, or reset all visual settings with the “Reset to Default” button.
