ModulusTools SEO Suite

Description

ModulusTools SEO Suite is a modular search engine optimization and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) toolkit for WordPress. It provides on-page content analysis, custom database storage for metadata and redirects, structured data generation, XML/HTML sitemaps, and Markdown content directories for search and answer engines.

Core Features & Modules

  • Modular Manager: Enable or disable individual SEO modules from the central dashboard. Disabled modules are not loaded during request execution.
  • Custom Database Storage: Stores post metadata, redirects, 404 logs, and crawler visit logs in dedicated custom tables (wp_modulustools_meta, wp_modulustools_redirects, wp_modulustools_404_logs, wp_modulustools_ai_bots) created on activation via dbDelta().
  • On-Page SEO & Readability Analyzer: Evaluates title length, meta description length, focus keyword placement, heading hierarchy (H2/H3), Flesch Reading Ease, passive voice ratio, transition words, and semantic entity usage directly inside the post editor.
  • Bulk Quick-Editor Grid: Edit SEO titles, meta descriptions, focus keywords, robots indexing directives, and pillar content flags across multiple published posts and pages on a single screen.
  • XML, News, Video & HTML Sitemaps: Generates /sitemap_index.xml, /post-sitemap.xml, /page-sitemap.xml, /category-sitemap.xml, /author-sitemap.xml, /news-sitemap.xml, and /video-sitemap.xml, plus a [modulustools_html_sitemap] shortcode.
  • Redirect Manager & 404 Monitor: Supports 301, 302, 307, 410, and 451 redirects (exact path or regular expression), automatic 301 redirects when a published post slug changes, and a 404 log viewer with one-click redirect creation.
  • JSON-LD Schema Graph & E-E-A-T Fields: Outputs a @graph JSON-LD block supporting Organization, LocalBusiness, WebSite, BreadcrumbList, Article, FAQPage, Product (including WooCommerce price/stock and Brand/GTIN/MPN properties), and Person author credentials (alumniOf, knowsAbout, hasCredential, sameAs).
  • GEO /llms.txt & Crawler Management: Generates /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt summaries of published content, provides robots.txt allow/disallow rules for AI crawlers, and logs crawler visits.
  • WordPress AI Client & Local Heuristic Assistant: Integrates with the native WordPress AI Client (when available in WordPress 7.0+) or a user-configured endpoint, with a built-in local heuristic fallback for drafting titles, descriptions, and FAQ blocks.
  • Internal Link Assistant & Orphan Detector: Counts internal inbound, internal outbound, and external links on post save, lists published pages with zero inbound internal links, and suggests contextual internal links.

How to Configure and Use

FAQ

Where is the SEO metadata stored?

All post SEO metadata, redirects, 404 logs, and crawler logs are stored in four custom database tables (wp_modulustools_meta, wp_modulustools_redirects, wp_modulustools_404_logs, and wp_modulustools_ai_bots).

How do I view the XML Sitemap or /llms.txt?

Visit /sitemap_index.xml, /llms.txt, or /llms-full.txt on your site domain. If your server rewrite rules have not refreshed yet, visit Settings > Permalinks and click Save Changes.

How do I display breadcrumbs or local business info on the front end?

Use the [modulustools_breadcrumbs] shortcode for breadcrumbs, [modulustools_local_info] for Local Business contact details, and [modulustools_html_sitemap] for an HTML sitemap list.
