Mignuti Chatbot

Description

Mignuti Chatbot adds an embeddable AI chatbot to your WordPress site. It answers
visitor questions from your own content (PDFs, FAQ pages, crawled URLs) and is
built for agencies and small businesses in Europe.

After installing this plugin you connect it to a Mignuti Chatbot project — no
code, no theme editing.

Why Mignuti Chatbot

• Hosted in Germany — database, files and application run on our own server
  in Germany. Answers are generated by a language model at Anthropic (USA) under
  EU standard contractual clauses, with personal data masked before it is sent;
  an EU-only model mode is available per chatbot.
• Consent-aware — in GDPR-safe mode the widget stays dormant until your cookie
  banner (Borlabs Cookie, Complianz, Cookiebot, Usercentrics, Real Cookie Banner, or
  any tool via a one-line call) grants consent.

  and more, and answers in the visitor’s language.
• AI-Act transparency — an unblockable “you are chatting with an AI” notice is
  built into the widget.
• Lightweight — a small widget bundle loaded asynchronously; it does not block
  your page render.
• Works with WooCommerce — show the chatbot on product pages and optionally hide
  it on the cart and checkout with one checkbox.
• One-click on/off — hide or show the chatbot on your whole site from the plugin
  settings, without disconnecting your project.
• Page targeting — show the chatbot everywhere, only on selected pages, or
  everywhere except selected pages. Optionally hide it for logged-in users.
• Consent-plugin bridge — pick your cookie banner (Borlabs Cookie, Complianz,
  Cookiebot, Usercentrics, Real Cookie Banner) and the chatbot loads automatically
  once the visitor consents — no code required.
• Built-in connection test — one click checks the widget CDN, the API, your key,
  and whether this domain is allowed for your project.

You need a Mignuti Chatbot account. Mignuti Chatbot is a paid service for
businesses: every account starts with a free 7-day trial, paid plans start at
9 EUR per month (see https://chatbot.mignuti.com/en/pricing). Sign up at
app.mignuti.com.

External services

This plugin connects your site to the Mignuti Chatbot service (operated by Mignuti
Media — Eduard Ditler, Germany) in order to load and run the chat widget. The
service is required for the plugin to work.

On your front-end pages (visitors)

• Widget loader — the script https://widget.mignuti.com/v1.js is loaded
  asynchronously on the pages you select. It reads the Project ID, Secret, consent
  mode and optional accent color from the plugin settings. Fetching the script is an
  ordinary HTTP request to our CDN (Cloudflare); no session is opened by it.
• Chat sessions — when the visitor has consented (or you chose “Load
  immediately”), the widget calls https://api.chatbot.mignuti.com to open a
  short-lived session and to send and receive messages. Data sent: the visitor’s
  messages, the page path, the browser language, a random session ID and the
  visitor’s IP address (stored only as a salted hash for rate limiting). Message
  content is processed to generate a reply; personal data is masked before the
  language model is called. Conversations are anonymised after 90 days.

In the WordPress admin (site owner only)

• Connect with Mignuti — redirects you to https://app.mignuti.com to sign in
  and pick a project; the plugin then calls https://api.chatbot.mignuti.com once,
  server-to-server, to exchange a one-time code for your Project ID and Secret.
  Data sent: the one-time code and your site’s origin (scheme and host).
• Test connection — sends your Project ID, Secret and site origin to the API
  and fetches the widget script from the CDN to report whether everything is
  reachable and this domain is allowed.

Nothing is sent from the front end before the widget script loads, and in GDPR-safe
consent mode no session is opened until consent is granted.
