Description
Marketing 360 CMPro connects your WordPress site to your Marketing 360® account. Blog posts you publish in CMPro (Content Marketing Pro) appear on your site automatically, and edits made in CMPro update the matching post.
Features
- Connect your site by signing in with your Marketing 360 credentials and choosing an account.
- New CMPro blog posts are published to your site as they go live, including the featured image, excerpt, tags and publish date.
- Edits made in CMPro update the existing post on your site.
- CMPro posts appear on your blog page, in the Recent Posts widget and in the Latest Posts block, and have their own archive at /blogs/.
- Posts are managed in Marketing 360 and are read-only in WordPress, so your site always matches CMPro.
- An Activity page shows every delivery and any errors.
Requirements
This plugin requires a Marketing 360 account with access to CMPro. It does nothing on its own without one.
External services
This plugin connects to Marketing 360 services to sign in, register your site and receive blog content. It only contacts them after a site administrator chooses to connect.
- Marketing 360 login (login.marketing360.com): when you sign in on the settings page, your Marketing 360 email and password are sent to obtain access tokens. Your password is not stored. The access and refresh tokens are stored in your WordPress database.
- Marketing 360 accounts (app.marketing360.com): after sign-in, the plugin requests the list of Marketing 360 accounts your user can access so you can choose one.
- Marketing 360 CMPro (cmp.marketing360.com): when you connect, disconnect or delete the plugin, and when Marketing 360 reports a disconnection, the plugin registers, removes or verifies your site’s registration. Registration sends your site name, your site’s domain and the two REST API URLs CMPro uses to reach your site.
- Incoming content: CMPro sends blog posts to your site’s REST API (/wp-json/cmpro/v1/webhook). Each delivery is verified with a signing secret. Featured images are downloaded from the image URL included in the post and added to your Media Library.
These services are provided by Marketing 360: Terms of Service, Privacy Policy.
Installation
- Install and activate the plugin.
- Go to CMPro Settings and click Connect to Marketing 360.
- Sign in with your Marketing 360 email and password, then choose the account to connect.
- Publish a blog post in CMPro. It appears on your site within moments.
To disconnect, click Disconnect on the settings page. Deleting the plugin also removes the site’s registration from Marketing 360.
FAQ
-
Do I need a Marketing 360 account?
-
Yes. The plugin delivers content from Marketing 360 CMPro, so it needs a Marketing 360 account with CMPro access.
-
Can I edit CMPro posts in WordPress?
-
No. CMPro posts are managed in Marketing 360. Make changes in CMPro and they update on your site automatically.
-
What happens if I disconnect in Marketing 360?
-
Marketing 360 notifies your site, which confirms the change with Marketing 360 and then shows the connection as disconnected. Posts already published stay on your site.
-
What happens to my posts if I delete the plugin?
-
They stay in your database, but the CMPro post type is no longer registered, so they won’t be displayed. Reinstalling the plugin shows them again.
