Marbo Kursbokning turns your WooCommerce store into a complete booking system for courses. You create course starts with a date, seat count and price, and customers book directly on the product page through a clear booking block. It is built for anyone who runs their own courses, from a single instructor to a larger business, and wants order among participants, seats and dates without any hassle.
Everything happens in your own store. Bookings go through the normal WooCommerce checkout, so you receive payments and orders exactly as usual.
The plugin was originally built to run dog training courses, but it works for any kind of course or class.
This free version is fully functional. No features are locked, disabled or limited behind a license. The Pro features listed further down are provided by a separate premium version of the plugin and are not part of, or hidden inside, this free version.
Included in this free version:
- Course starts with seat limits, their own time and location
- A booking block directly on the course page
- Multi-session courses that run over several dates
- Customizable participant forms, one form per participant
- A calendar file in the order confirmation, so the customer can easily add the course to their calendar
- Order confirmation with all the course details
- Participant management in the admin: add manually, cancel, move, mark attendance and message participants
- Manual cancellation with optional refund
- A simple interest list for fully booked courses, with a list of interested people
- Booking terms at the bottom of every course page
- The next date shown on the product cards
- Activities, such as events and meetups, in the same calendar
- A Gutenberg block for listing upcoming courses
- Simple statistics
A separate premium version adds a waiting list with a daily summary, self-service cancellation for customers, automatic reminders before the course starts, course reviews by email, PDF materials for participants, CSV export for bookkeeping, remote display of courses on other sites, course diplomas, and support for external instructors. Those features live in that separate version, not in this one.
External services
This plugin connects to Freemius, a licensing and software-update service, to power the optional separate premium version and to offer an optional, consent-based opt-in.
What it is used for:
- Delivering updates and license management for the optional premium version.
- An optional opt-in that shares basic environment data (such as the WordPress and PHP version and the site URL) only if the user explicitly agrees. This is used to improve the plugin. Nothing is sent unless the user opts in.
When data is sent: only after the user actively opts in, or when a premium license is activated on the site. The free version is fully usable without opting in and without sending any data.

Installation
- Make sure WooCommerce is installed and active.
- Upload the plugin under Plugins, Add New, Upload Plugin, or install it directly from the directory.
- Activate the plugin.
- Create a normal simple WooCommerce product for your course and enable course booking for it.
- Add one or more course starts with a date and seat count.
Important: the course product must be a simple product, not a variable product, because the price and seats are controlled by the course start.

Does the plugin require WooCommerce?

Yes. Bookings go through the WooCommerce checkout, so WooCommerce must be installed and active.

Can a course have several sessions?

Yes. A course start can consist of several dates, for example a course that runs over several weeks.

What happens when a course is fully booked?

The customer can leave an interest request so you can get back to them. An automatic waiting list with notifications is part of the separate premium version.

In this free version you handle cancellations manually in the admin, with an optional refund. Self-service cancellation for customers is part of the separate premium version.
