Malinois Store Monitor

Description

Malinois Store Monitor connects a WooCommerce store to the MalinoisSync monitoring service operated by Lapointe Software LLC.

After a store administrator explicitly connects the plugin with a short-lived code, it monitors public storefront behavior and sends operational signals to MalinoisSync. The MalinoisSync dashboard confirms repeated failures, groups them into incidents, sends configured alerts, and records recovery.

Monitoring includes:

• Public page availability, blank pages, broken resources, and JavaScript errors.
• Product price, inventory, variation availability, and purchase-button state.
• Cart-action and checkout success or failure outcomes.
• Public-page performance and sanitized campaign-source context.
• Recovery observations after a detected problem is corrected.

The plugin does not send customer form values, customer account details, advertising click identifiers, or payment data.

An active MalinoisSync account is required. Connecting the store is an explicit opt-in to the external service. The plugin remains inactive on the storefront until an authorized administrator completes that connection.

External Service

This plugin relies on MalinoisSync, an external Software as a Service platform operated by Lapointe Software LLC.

The plugin communicates with https://api.malinoissync.com only after a WooCommerce administrator enters a connection code and accepts the displayed data-transfer notice. Communication is required to establish the connection, receive page-monitoring configuration, send operational observations, synchronize public product-page URLs, and deliver incident and recovery alerts through the channels configured in the MalinoisSync account.

Data sent can include:

• The store URL and public page URLs with query strings and fragments removed.
• Public product identifiers, product names, product-page URLs, stock quantities and states, and variation availability.
• WordPress, WooCommerce, plugin, and monitoring-agent versions.
• Random pseudonymous per-tab session identifiers used to count and correlate monitoring observations.
• Page-health results, load measurements, failed-resource URLs, and sanitized JavaScript error summaries.
• Checkout success or failure state without order contents, customer fields, or payment information.
• Sanitized campaign source, medium, campaign label, and referring hostname. Advertising click identifier values are detected only to classify the source and are never transmitted.

The storefront agent uses session storage for its random session identifier and session-level traffic attribution. It uses local storage to cache page-monitoring configuration for five minutes. The plugin does not set tracking cookies.

Disconnecting or deactivating the plugin stops new storefront observations. Previously transmitted service data is handled according to the MalinoisSync Privacy Policy and the account owner’s retention and deletion choices.

Privacy

After activation, the plugin adds suggested MalinoisSync disclosure text to Settings > Privacy > Policy Guide. Store owners should review that text and incorporate it into their published privacy policy as appropriate for their jurisdiction and configuration.
