Maker Pilot — Quick Product

Description

Maker Pilot — Quick Product gives small WooCommerce stores a straightforward way to create Kits and Multi-Packs without turning everyday product maintenance into a complicated job.

It is designed for small businesses, makers, clubs, charities and community organisations that need practical ways to package and sell their products.

Multi-Packs

Start with an existing WooCommerce product and create multiple Product Options from it.

Sell a single item, pair, pack, promotional quantity or separately stocked option from one Quick Product. Each option can have its own description, quantity multiplier, regular and sale price, image and stock behaviour.

Options can consume stock from the original source product or hold their own stock. Customers can choose one or more options and each selection is added to the WooCommerce cart as a separate line.

Kits

Combine WooCommerce products and text/value components into a single fixed-price package.

A Kit could be a club pack, event package, gift set, starter bundle, school set or any other group of items that you want to sell together.

Kit components can include existing WooCommerce products as well as non-product lines such as accommodation, services or other values. Where a component has choices of its own, such as the size of a variable T-shirt, those choices remain available to the customer.

Quick Product keeps the Kit as one customer purchase while retaining the component breakdown behind the sale.

Stock that follows the sale

Multi-Pack options can use stock from their source product or maintain their own stock.

For example, if a source product represents individual pairs and a Product Option sells a pack of six, Quick Product can consume six units from the source stock when one pack is sold.

Kits retain stock usage against their components.

Clear sales breakdowns

Quick Product Sales provides a simple view of what was sold, including Quantity, Gross, Discount, Net and Stock Used.

For Kits, the difference between the normal component value and the Kit selling price is allocated across the components.

For Multi-Packs, source-stock movements remain visible without duplicating the financial sale.

Works with WooCommerce

Quick Product works alongside the normal WooCommerce product editor and checkout process.

Products created with Quick Product remain WooCommerce products, and a Maker Pilot panel in the standard product editor provides a quick route back into Quick Product.

Quick Product does not replace WooCommerce Simple, Variable or other WooCommerce product types. Kits and Multi-Packs are additional ways of arranging and selling your existing products.

Quick Product deletion

On the Kit or Multi-Pack edit page, Delete moves that Quick Product to WooCommerce Trash after confirmation. Restore it from WooCommerce Products > Trash.

Installation

  1. Install and activate WooCommerce.
  2. Install and activate Maker Pilot — Quick Product.

FAQ

Does Quick Product require WooCommerce?

Yes. Quick Product extends WooCommerce and requires WooCommerce to be installed and active.

Does Quick Product create new WooCommerce product types?

No. Quick Product works with WooCommerce products rather than replacing WooCommerce’s existing product-type system.

What is the difference between a Kit and a Multi-Pack?

A Kit is a fixed package containing defined components and sold for one price.

A Multi-Pack provides one or more Product Options based on a source WooCommerce product. Customers can choose the options they want.

Can a Multi-Pack use stock from the original product?

Yes. An option can consume stock from its source product using its quantity multiplier. An option can also maintain its own stock when required.

Can a Kit contain something that is not a WooCommerce product?

Yes. Kits support text/value components for items such as services, accommodation or other parts of a package that do not need their own WooCommerce product.

Can variable products be used in a Kit?

Yes. A Kit can include one variable product so a customer choice such as T-shirt size can remain available on the Kit product.

What happens to a Kit discount?

Quick Product compares the component value with the Kit selling price and allocates the difference across the component sales.

Does Quick Product replace the normal WooCommerce cart and checkout?

No. Quick Product feeds the resulting products and selections into WooCommerce’s normal cart, order and checkout workflow.
