Lunchboard – Restaurant Menu, Lunch Menu & Allergens

Description

Lunchboard puts your restaurant menu and your weekly lunch menu on your website – with allergens, additives and prices, in a design that fits your restaurant. Type the dishes once, and they appear on your website, on a printable A4 menu board for the door and behind a QR code on the tables.

Made for restaurants, cafés, canteens, bakeries, butchers and bistros that publish a lunch menu every week, and for anyone who wants a clean, fast food menu without a page builder.

Weekly lunch menu

• One screen per week. Monday to Friday side by side, plus dishes served all week (soup, salad of the week). Notes per day, e.g. “Closed – public holiday”.
• Fast to fill in. Suggestions while typing take over price and labelling of dishes you served before. Press Enter to jump from dish to price to the next dish. Drag dishes between days.
• Start from last week with one click, or copy any weekly menu to the following week.
• Always up to date. Your website shows the current week and switches to next week after the last serving day – as soon as it is published. Today’s dishes are highlighted.
• Today’s dishes as a separate view for your home page.

Restaurant menu

• Dishes in categories and sub-categories, in your own order.
• Several sizes per dish (0.3 l / 0.5 l), photos, descriptions, markers like vegetarian, vegan or spicy.
• Prices exactly as you type them – “market price” stays text, “7,50” becomes a price.

Allergens and additives

• The 14 allergens that must be declared in the EU, with the letter codes common in German-speaking countries (A–R).
• The additives usually declared with numbers (colouring, preservative, caffeine, quinine …). Switch off what you never use, add your own and change every code or wording.
• A legend below each menu explains the codes in use, or all codes.
• Screen readers hear the full allergen names instead of letters.

Five designs

Pick a design on the Design screen and see it live with sample dishes, on desktop and phone:

• Minimal – quiet lines in the fonts of your theme. Fits any website.
• Bistro – a classic serif menu with dotted leaders.
• Chalkboard – hand-lettered on a slate board, the classic for daily specials.
• Modern – every day on its own card. Great for canteens and cafés.
• Fine Dining – centred, airy, with prices as plain numbers.

Choose your accent colour per design, design or theme fonts, price style and spacing. Any block or shortcode can use another design than the default.

Printable menu board and QR code

• A clean A4 page for the weekly menu or the menu – in your design, with legend, business name and a QR code to your website. Adjust the text size or switch to two columns before printing.
• Download the QR code as SVG or PNG for table stands, windows and flyers.

Made for search engines

• schema.org structured data (Menu, MenuSection, MenuItem, Offer) with prices, currency, the date of each weekly dish and diets like vegetarian or vegan.
• Real text instead of images or PDFs, weekdays as headings, time and data elements for dates and prices.
• Styles load on pages with a menu, in the page head, so nothing jumps while the page loads.
• Print views are hidden from search engines, so they don’t compete with your pages.

Fast and private

• No external requests. Fonts are included and load from your own website. No Google Fonts, no tracking, no CDN. QR codes are created in the browser.
• Caches of WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache, W3 Total Cache and WP Super Cache are cleared automatically when a menu changes.
