Description
Help visitors describe their bespoke staircase and send a design enquiry to your company. Lucen Hosted Configurator connects WordPress to your company’s hosted Lucen configurator.
Add the Gutenberg block or shortcode to a wide page. Visitors can explore the staircase options enabled for your account, view their design in 3D and prepare a design request. Your company manages its branding, offered options, indicative prices, languages and enquiry recipient in Lucen.
- Gutenberg block and [lucen_configurator] shortcode.
- Responsive frame with a configurable maximum height.
- Connection status, retry and a separate-window fallback.
- Optional visitor click before loading the external service.
- English, Estonian, Finnish and Russian configurator languages, as enabled by your account.
- Company-specific design requests and optional photos or plans handled by the hosted service.
Any displayed estimate is indicative. A request is not an order or approval for manufacture. The staircase company reviews specifications and site measurements before providing an individual quotation.
Pricing, free trial and manual billing
The WordPress connector is free. An active Lucen hosted-service account is required for live use. Request a 14-day free trial at info@lucen.ee. Lucen sets up your company account and permitted website domain; the trial starts only when the configured account is ready and Lucen activates it.
Launch service pricing is EUR 39/month for the first 12 paid months, or EUR 350 upfront for the first paid year. Standard renewal pricing is EUR 59/month or EUR 549/year. No VAT is added. Both plans cover one company and one website with basic setup. Custom development is quoted separately.
No card is required for the trial. There is no automatic charge or automatic renewal. If you choose to continue, Lucen issues an invoice manually and confirms payment to extend access. Available payment methods are shown on the invoice. Your workspace displays your trial end date, paid-through date and recorded invoice references. At expiry, new configurator use and new enquiries pause; existing enquiries and settings remain accessible under the applicable retention policy. The free connector itself has no local feature paywall or trial timer; access is controlled by the hosted service.
Account and support
An active Lucen service account is required; installing this plugin does not create one. Account setup is assisted by Lucen. Contact info@lucen.ee for account availability, service terms and support before publishing the configurator on your site. The plugin does not take payments or provide a self-service subscription checkout.

External service
This plugin connects to the Lucen hosted staircase service, normally at https://stairs.lucen.ee. Use the HTTPS address and public configurator ID supplied for your company. The geometry engine, company configuration, estimates and enquiry workflow run in that service, not in WordPress.
The administrator’s Check connection button sends the public configurator ID to /api/embed/status at the configured service address. On a published page, the visitor’s browser checks that endpoint and loads /embed for the same company. These connections disclose ordinary network data such as IP address and browser headers to Lucen and its hosting providers. Adapter JavaScript and CSS are included in this plugin and served by WordPress.
In an enabled account, opening the design-request form saves a design draft in Lucen before contact details are entered. Customer contact/project information and optional photos/plans are submitted directly to Lucen when the visitor sends a request. Browser storage can hold design-restoration credentials. This plugin does not proxy those requests or store customer contacts, uploaded plans or enquiry records in WordPress.
The supplier’s notice is shown in the configurator at SERVICE-ADDRESS/privaatsus?site=YOUR-ID. A reference-account notice is available at Lucen reference privacy notice; each company must use its own account’s notice. Obtain the applicable service agreement from Lucen before use. The demo may simulate requests without sending or storing them; confirm your own account’s live operation before publishing.
The optional click-to-load setting delays the visitor’s external connection until they choose to load the configurator. WordPress Privacy settings include suggested text for the website owner to review. Removing this plugin deletes only its connection/display preferences; hosted records follow the supplier’s separate retention and deletion process.
Source code
All plugin PHP, JavaScript and CSS source is included in this archive under GPLv2 or later. The JavaScript is hand-maintained, readable source, not generated or minified output. Edit assets/lucen-embed.js (frontend adapter), assets/settings.js (administration) and block/editor.js (block editor) directly. No compiler, bundler, npm dependency or build step is required to run or modify these files. WordPress supplies the wp.* APIs used by the editor; no third-party JavaScript libraries are bundled.
The shared frontend adapter is copied unchanged into assets/lucen-embed.js when packaging this connector. It remains the complete source; there is no separate compiled version. Package the lucen-hosted-configurator directory as a ZIP with that directory at the archive root. The hosted remote service is separate from this GPL connector.

FAQ
-
Does this run the staircase engine in WordPress?
-
No. It displays your company’s hosted Lucen account. WordPress stores only public connection and display preferences.
-
Does installing the plugin create a Lucen account?
-
No. Contact info@lucen.ee to arrange company onboarding and receive the account details. Service availability and terms are agreed with Lucen.
-
Can visitors buy a staircase through this plugin?
-
The workflow collects bespoke design requests. Prices are indicative and the receiving staircase company prepares an individual quotation after reviewing specifications and measurements. The plugin has no checkout.
-
Can I delay loading the external service?
-
Yes. Enable Require a visitor click before connecting to Lucen in the plugin settings.
-
Why does the connection check succeed but the frame not load?
-
The check confirms the company account is available. The public page must also satisfy the account’s permitted website-domain settings. Confirm the exact hostname with your Lucen administrator and check the page preview.
-
What happens when I uninstall?
-
The plugin removes its own WordPress preferences. It does not delete enquiries or uploads held by Lucen; request those changes through the supplier’s documented process.
