Description

Local Spotlight is a WordPress plugin that allows you to quickly and easily add Microdata to posts and pages in accordance to schema.org standards. Microdata may be used to communicate exact location, address, etc. to search engines via special code. Using location or local address Microdata may help search engine rankings, it is for this reason we have developed this plugin. Main uses are:

¥ Change local data (Address and name of City) per post
¥ Hyper-Localize your posts and pages

Installation

  1. Unpack the download-package
  2. Upload all files to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  3. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
  4. That’s it! Now you are all set to go on editing post and pages with microdata

Online searching tools, net crawlers, and programs can extract and process Microdata from an online element and utilize it to furnish a richer browsing experience for users. Microdata is a component of Rich Snippets that will allow for the display of more detailed information in search engine results.
