Legacy MediaTech Newsroom Suite is a free companion for news, magazine, broadcast, and
editorial websites. It provides a guided Modern Newsroom starter
site that preserves existing content and creates clearly labeled editable samples.

The plugin works with any standards-compliant theme and is designed to integrate
especially well with the free Legacy MediaTech Newsroom theme.
External services
Automatic social publishing is optional and disabled by default. When a site
administrator enables it, confirms permission, and supplies a webhook URL, the
plugin sends the story title, excerpt, URL, featured-image URL, author, site
name, publication time, and formatted message to that administrator-selected
service. No request is sent until the administrator explicitly configures and
enables a connection. Data handling is governed by the selected provider’s
terms and privacy policy.

Installation
- Upload the plugin or install it from the WordPress Plugin Directory.
- Activate Legacy MediaTech Newsroom Suite.
- Open Appearance > Newsroom Launch Wizard.
- Follow the five guided setup steps and choose a starter site if needed.
- Replace all sample content before launching your publication.

Will the importer delete my content?

No. The importer preserves existing posts, pages, categories, and media. It only
creates items that are not already present. -
Does it download third-party images?

No. The importer uses text-only sample content to avoid licensing and privacy
surprises. Publishers can add their own properly licensed images. -
Does it replace my SEO plugin?

No. The fallback NewsArticle schema automatically disables itself when Rank Math
or Yoast SEO is active.
