Khmuizuddin XML Sitemap creates a clean XML sitemap at /sitemap.xml so search engines can discover and crawl published content.
The plugin focuses on one job: generating a simple XML sitemap without adding unnecessary features, tracking, external services, or upsells.

Installation
- Upload the plugin files to the
/wp-content/plugins/khmuizuddin-xml-sitemapdirectory, or install the plugin through the Plugins screen in WordPress. - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress.
- Go to Settings > Khmuizuddin XML Sitemap.
- Choose which content types should be included.
- Visit
https://yoursite.com/sitemap.xmlto view your sitemap. - Submit the sitemap URL to Google Search Console or Bing Webmaster Tools if desired.
If the sitemap URL returns a 404 error, go to Settings > Permalinks and click “Save Changes” once to refresh WordPress’s rewrite rules.

Why does my sitemap look like plain text or show an XML tree in my browser?

Browsers may display XML as raw XML or show a message that the file has no style information. This is normal and does not mean the sitemap is invalid.
XML sitemaps do not require a visual stylesheet for search engines to process them.

Does this plugin submit my sitemap to Google automatically?

No. Khmuizuddin XML Sitemap generates the sitemap but does not connect to Google, Bing, or any other external service.
You can submit the sitemap URL manually through the webmaster tools provided by search engines.

Will this work with my custom post types?

Yes. Public and publicly queryable custom post types appear as selectable content types in Settings > Khmuizuddin XML Sitemap.

Are attachments included?

No. Media attachments are intentionally excluded from this lightweight sitemap.

How often is the sitemap updated?

The generated sitemap is cached for up to 12 hours for performance.
The cache is cleared automatically when published content is saved, published, unpublished, trashed, or deleted. The sitemap is then regenerated on the next request.

Does the sitemap include images or news-specific information?

No. Khmuizuddin XML Sitemap currently generates a standard URL sitemap only.
Image sitemaps, Google News sitemaps, video sitemaps, and other specialized sitemap formats are not included.

Does this plugin improve my Google ranking?

A sitemap helps search engines discover URLs, but submitting a sitemap does not guarantee indexing or improve search rankings by itself.
