Description
Keitai Emoji adds 148 pixel-art emoji drawn on a 12×12 dot grid, the size and
style of the emoji built into Japanese “keitai” feature phones of the i-mode
era. Each emoji is output as a small inline SVG that inherits the surrounding
text color (currentColor), so it blends into any color scheme, light or dark.
Write a shortcode anywhere in your content:
[keitai hare] renders a sun, `[keitai heart]` a heart, `[keitai new]` a NEW badge.
The plugin was built as a companion to the “Keitai” theme, but it works with
any theme. A minimal one-line style is added for vertical alignment; there is
no other front-end footprint, and no JavaScript is loaded on the front end.
Editor palette
- Classic editor (Visual): a toolbar button opens a searchable palette of all
148 emoji; clicking one inserts the shortcode at the cursor. - Classic editor (Text): an Quicktags button opens the same palette.
- Block editor: a meta box below the editor shows the palette; clicking an
emoji copies its shortcode to the clipboard for pasting.

FAQ
Does it work with the block editor?
Yes. Shortcodes render on the front end regardless of the editor. The toolbar palette is available in the classic editor (and inside Classic blocks); in the block editor a meta box provides the palette in copy-to-clipboard form.
Why do the emoji change color?
They are inline SVGs filled with currentColor, so they follow the text color of their surroundings – links, headings, bands, dark schemes and all.
Can I use them in theme templates?
Yes. Call
keitai_emoji_svg( 'hare' )(returns an empty string for unknown slugs), ordo_shortcode( '[keitai hare]' ).
