JeyTech Order Transfer QR for WooCommerce

Description

Customers paying by bank transfer usually copy the beneficiary, IBAN, amount and reference by hand. JeyTech Order Transfer QR adds an EPC / GiroCode QR beside those readable details on the order confirmation page and in the customer on-hold email.

The customer scans it with a compatible banking app, checks the details and confirms the transfer in that app. The plugin prepares the transfer. It does not process payments, connect to a bank, reconcile a payment or mark an order as paid.

  • Uses the bank accounts already configured in WooCommerce. Choose the beneficiary account explicitly.
  • Validates the SEPA country, IBAN length and checksum, beneficiary name and BIC.
  • Uses the exact order total in EUR and a configurable reference containing {order_number}.
  • Shows a QR only for on-hold orders paid with WooCommerce’s bank transfer method (BACS).
  • Works with HPOS and classic order storage. Uses the WooCommerce hook supported by classic and block order confirmation pages.
  • Keeps all payment details readable next to the QR. Plain-text emails contain those details without an image.
  • Translation-ready interface and customer instructions that follow the email/site language. WordPress distributes available translations through its language packs.
  • Generates PNG images on your own WordPress server, without GD, Imagick, external QR services or tracking.

Image URLs are signed, expire after 30 days and are tied to the order key and exact payment data. They stop returning a QR when the order is paid or cancelled, its amount or reference changes, or the selected bank account changes. Images already saved or cached by an email provider cannot be revoked. No public QR files are stored in uploads.

Banking apps do not all support EPC / GiroCode. Test the QR with the banks your customers use before enabling it. Customers can always enter the same details manually.

Requires WooCommerce 9.6 or later and PHP’s zlib extension. EPC QR payments use EUR. A BIC is required for a beneficiary outside the EEA. Other currencies, Swiss QR bills, SPAYD and automatic payment confirmation are outside this version’s scope.

Third-party code

The encoder includes scoped portions of BaconQrCode 2.0.8 and DASPRiD Enum 1.0.7 under the BSD 2-Clause license. Copyright notices and licenses are included in vendor/. Sources and local changes are documented in THIRD_PARTY.txt. No library is fetched at runtime.

  1. Install and activate WooCommerce, then install and activate this plugin.
  2. Configure your beneficiary name, IBAN and BIC in WooCommerce’s bank transfer settings.
  3. Open WooCommerce > Order Transfer QR. Choose the beneficiary account, keep {order_number} in the reference and enable the desired display locations.

FAQ

Does scanning the QR confirm payment?

No. It fills in transfer details in a compatible banking app. The customer still authorizes the transfer there, and the merchant still confirms receipt through their normal process.

Why is there no QR?

Check that it is enabled, a valid bank account is selected, the order is on hold, its payment method is BACS and its currency is EUR. Invalid or oversized payment data is omitted instead of generating an incorrect QR. Changing bank coordinates requires selecting the account again.

What happens when I reorder my WooCommerce bank accounts?

The selected beneficiary remains the same. Selection is tied to the account’s name, IBAN and BIC, rather than its position in the list.

What if another plugin changes BACS bank details for an order?

The plugin honors WooCommerce’s account filter. If the selected account is removed or the final IBAN/BIC fields are changed, it omits the QR to avoid contradicting the bank coordinates displayed by WooCommerce.

Why does an old email’s QR image no longer load?

The link may have expired or the order/payment data may have changed. If the order is still eligible, reopening its confirmation page produces a fresh link. Previously cached images may remain visible; always check the current order and payment details before transferring money.

Can I use Unpaid Transfer Guard too?

Yes. This plugin does not change order status, stock or cancellation rules. When an order is cancelled, its signed QR link stops returning an image.

Does the plugin send data to a QR service?

No. The PNG is generated by your WordPress server. An email image proxy may fetch the signed image URL when a customer opens the email, as it would for other hosted email images.

How do I get support?

Use the WordPress.org support forum after publication or contact support@jeytech.app. Include the plugin, WordPress, WooCommerce and PHP versions. Do not publish order keys or signed image URLs in a public screenshot.

How do I get the French translation?

Translations are managed on translate.wordpress.org and delivered by WordPress language updates once approved. The plugin ZIP does not include translation files. Without an available language pack, the interface uses English. French screenshots use a separately installed development language pack.
