Can I search for individual photos by ID?

Yes! You can enter id:{photo_id} into the search box to return a single result.
e.g. id:YiUi00uqKk8

I’m getting an unauthorized error message during the resize process, is there a fix?

If your site is using password protection you may need to disable the http authorization as there appears to be an issue with the media_sideload_image function in WP core.

Are the images upload to the Media Library?

Yes, once clicked, the images are processed on the server then uploaded to the Media Library into the various sizes set in your theme.

Are raw uploads stored on the server?

No, once an image has be uploaded and resized the raw download will be removed from your server.

Are there server requirements?

Yes, this plugin is required to write temporary images into an /instant-images directory within your WordPress uploads directory for image processing prior to being uploaded to the media library.

Some hosts lock down their servers and you may be required to update your php.ini or .htaccess in order to use this plugin.

Reviews

Localhost

Looks good but not able to download image on localhost getting message “Unable to download image to server, please check your server permission” i am on Windows 10 using WAMP, any advice?

Just doesn’t work for me

Simply does not work for me.

The idea is great, but when i go to download photos, it just links me to the Unsplash site. Every photo i try to download takes me to Unsplash.

As such, i have to download from there as usual, then load to my site.

The plugin does nothing but add an extra step.

I figure this can’t be it… something is going wrong.

I’m happy to update this review to a higher score if i can get the plugin to work, but until then 1 star is it.

Good Idea, Needs Improvement

Good idea, but you could allow us to set and/or change the filename. The default option is not very SEO-friendly: asu29dhao38.jpg instead of beige-sand-sunset-beach.jpg

Great

Beside the good service and the really good images:

The plugin author is a nice guy who do the support faster that fast.
