Description
Publish once in WordPress. Share across the social networks you choose.
Writing an article is already work. Rewriting it for every social account should be a choice, not a requirement. Iara Native AI Social Media Auto Poster automatically prepares and queues your published WordPress content for connected social destinations, with network-specific controls, optional AI-assisted captions and images, and a clear record of what happened.
One WordPress workflow, eight social networks
- Facebook: share posts with authorized Facebook Pages.
- Instagram: publish image posts through linked professional Instagram accounts.
- X (formerly Twitter): publish text and supported images with weighted character-limit checks.
- Threads: publish text and image posts through a separately authorized Threads account.
- LinkedIn: share articles with an authorized organization Page.
- Pinterest: create image Pins in selected boards.
- Bluesky: publish posts through your account and its configured AT Protocol server.
- Tumblr: publish formatted posts to your connected blog.
Connect only the accounts you actually use. Each network requires the relevant authorization, permissions, and any API access offered by its provider. Facebook, Instagram, Threads and other platform access rules may restrict which accounts can publish.
Less repetitive work. More editorial control.
- Automatic social posting: handle newly published and WordPress-scheduled posts for the post types you enable.
- Independent publishing queue: create a job per destination, with bounded retries, diagnostics and a manual retry option for failures.
- Your choice of copy: configure a distinct template for every network, or opt in to AI-assisted explanations grounded in the article.
- Copy that respects limits: use concise WordPress excerpts for shorter platforms and account for links and hashtags in the character budget.
- Optional AI artwork: generate editorial images with your connected WordPress AI provider, select an artistic style, and guide the output with optional font and brand colors.
- Per-post decisions: disable automatic sharing or override the destination networks on an individual article.
- Connection visibility: check authorized accounts, available destinations and publishing results from WordPress.
AI is optional, not a condition of using the publisher. With AI disabled or unavailable, Iara uses the configured templates. With AI enabled, explanatory text is generated through the WordPress AI Client and the provider configured in WordPress. The plugin does not store AI provider API keys itself. New image generation may consume provider credits, and visual details such as colors or typography require editorial review.
Set up your first automatic post
- Activate Iara and open Settings > Iara Native AI Social Media Auto Poster.
- Enable the destinations you need. Register the exact callback URL displayed in each relevant developer application, then authorize the account.
- Choose which WordPress post types to share and, if desired, customize each network’s fallback template.
- Optionally enable AI captions or images using Settings > Connectors and your own provider account.
- Publish or schedule a WordPress post. Open the queue to confirm which destinations succeeded or need attention.
Who is Iara for? Publishers, editors, independent bloggers, agencies and organizations that want to distribute the content they already create without copying the same article manually into separate networks. It is especially useful when maintaining editorial oversight matters as much as automation.
What Iara does not promise: social reach, clicks, conversion rates, algorithmic preference or instant delivery. Platforms set their own limits, permissions, billing, review and availability rules. Iara helps prepare, dispatch and track publication; it cannot control a platform’s recommendations or API availability.
If Iara helps with your workflow, an honest WordPress.org review can help other site owners make an informed choice. Share the strengths and shortcomings you actually experienced. Reviews are optional and never unlock features or affect support.
External services
Iara Native AI Social Media Auto Poster connects only to services that the site administrator explicitly configures/enables. A queued job transmits post information needed to publish to that destination.
Meta: Facebook Graph API
Used for OAuth, Page discovery and publishing Page posts/photos. Data can include authorization tokens, selected Page ID, post text, canonical URL and public image URL. When a site administrator explicitly authorizes Business Portfolio access, Iara Native AI Social Media Auto Poster also requests business_management to discover owned/client Pages through the Business Management API.

X API (formerly Twitter)
Used only when an administrator explicitly connects/enables X. The OAuth 2.0 PKCE authorization flow requests tweet.read, tweet.write, users.read, media.write and offline.access, discovers the authorized user with /2/users/me, refreshes user access tokens and publishes through POST /2/tweets. X receives the OAuth code/tokens, X account ID, composed post text, original WordPress post URL, and image bytes when a supported public image is attached. AI-generated images are flagged when supported by the endpoint. X API access and usage may require X billing/credits; there is no guarantee that an app has posting privileges.

Optional AI through WordPress AI Client and Connectors
If AI is enabled, Iara Native AI Social Media Auto Poster provides the WordPress AI Client with source post text/title and generation instructions. WordPress routes the request through a provider connector selected from those configured by the site administrator. Depending on that connector, source content is transmitted to the configured AI provider. Generated images are returned to WordPress and saved in the Media Library.

Privacy
Iara Native AI Social Media Auto Poster stores settings in the WordPress options table and publishing jobs in a dedicated queue table. OAuth access/refresh tokens and manually entered social secrets are encrypted locally when cryptographic support is available. The queue stores post IDs, destination network, state, attempts, scheduling timestamps, a payload identity hash, remote ID and the latest error when applicable.
AI provider keys are never stored by Iara Native AI Social Media Auto Poster. When AI copy is enabled, the generated reusable description and its cache hash are stored as post metadata so all network jobs for the same post version can reuse identical wording. AI-generated infographic attachments are ordinary WordPress Media Library items associated with their source post.
Installation
- Install and activate Iara on WordPress 7.0 or later, with PHP 7.4 or later.
- Open Settings > Iara Native AI Social Media Auto Poster and choose supported public post types and social networks.
- Create the required developer applications, register the exact OAuth callback shown in settings, and save each provider’s necessary credentials. Connections and permissions are independently managed for each service.
- Connect Meta for Facebook Pages and linked professional Instagram accounts. Connect Threads using its separate app and authorization. Connect X, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Tumblr using the respective OAuth applications. Configure Bluesky with a dedicated App Password.
- Confirm the publishing destination for each connected network. The corresponding provider may require extra approval, scopes, permissions, API access or billing.
- If desired, configure a WordPress AI provider under Settings > Connectors, then enable AI text and/or images and choose model preferences. For artwork you may select a style and optional brand colors. Providers and models available to you depend on your connector and account.
- Publish a new post or schedule one using WordPress. Check Iara’s queue, and ensure WP-Cron (or a server cron calling WordPress) can run background jobs.
FAQ
-
Does Iara publish to Facebook, Instagram and X automatically?
-
Yes, after the corresponding accounts are connected and the networks are enabled. Facebook requires an authorized Page, Instagram requires a linked professional account, and X requires suitable developer API access. Iara also supports Threads, LinkedIn organization Pages, Pinterest boards, Bluesky and Tumblr.
-
Does Iara require a paid service or AI provider?
-
The plugin itself does not require an AI subscription to use deterministic templates. Optional AI generation uses your configured WordPress AI provider, which may charge for requests. Social network APIs may have independent approval, pricing or usage requirements, notably X. Check the service’s current requirements before connecting.
-
Can I review or override where each post goes?
-
Yes. Select global networks and post types in settings, then disable auto-publishing or override the destinations for a particular post in its editor. The queue shows outcomes and errors so you can decide when to retry.
-
Do scheduled WordPress posts work?
-
Yes. Publishing is triggered when a scheduled WordPress post becomes public. WP-Cron or a correctly configured external cron must be operational; queue delivery is asynchronous and may not be immediate.
-
Are the AI captions identical on every network?
-
With AI copy enabled, a source-grounded explanatory description is reused on networks with enough room. Short-form networks use concise WordPress excerpts to fit the available budget. Links or domain-reading prompts and taxonomy hashtags are composed according to each network. Templates remain the fallback when AI is disabled or unavailable.
-
Can I publish to Instagram without an image?
-
No. Instagram publishing requires a public image URL from an existing featured image, an enabled AI-generated image or a configured fallback image. A professional Instagram account linked to an authorized Facebook Page is also required.
-
Why has a publishing job failed?
-
Check the queue error and destination authorization. Common causes are missing scopes, changed provider permissions, API limits, expired tokens, image-processing delays or inaccessible images. Transient errors can be retried; reconnecting an account may be necessary if its permissions changed. A retry is a new attempt, not a guarantee the provider will accept the publication.
-
Create an X developer app with OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code support, set the precise callback URL shown by Iara, and authorize the requested tweet.read, tweet.write, users.read, media.write and offline.access scopes. Iara uses PKCE S256, validates the connected X account and stores encrypted tokens when local cryptography is supported. Posts use the X API’s weighted 280-character budget. JPEG, PNG and WebP images up to 5 MB may be attached. Your X API account must have suitable posting permissions and usage allowance.
-
What if Pinterest reports missing boards:write permission?
-
Reconnect Pinterest to request boards:read, boards:write, pins:read and pins:write. Refreshing an old token cannot add permissions that were not granted. Confirm the app’s permission tier and choose an authorized board before retrying.
-
What does the AI artwork style/brand guide change?
-
Styles affect the aesthetic instructions for newly generated images. The optional brand guide specifies a font family and role-based colors; the provider may approximate them. Changing these settings does not modify older images, featured images, CSS, credentials or social publishing APIs. Artwork generation is optional.
-
What if I previously used the pre-approval Yara plugin?
-
Iara uses the same Iara identifiers and slug as this package. A one-time non-destructive import is provided for settings, connections, queue entries and per-post choices from the earlier Yara Native AI Social Media Auto Poster build. Deactivate Yara first to avoid duplicate publication, then update your OAuth app callback URLs to the Iara address. Other experimental plugins are not automatically migrated. Old Yara data is retained for rollback.
-
Does Iara collect analytics or sell visitor data?
-
Iara stores configuration, connection information and its queue locally in WordPress. It sends the post content and required credentials to a network only for actions you enable, or to an AI provider through WordPress when AI is enabled. There is no built-in tracking or selling of visitor data. See External services and Privacy for the data involved and provider policies.
