Description
HostHob Product Bundles lets WooCommerce merchants offer configurable product bundles without inventing a fake “bundle SKU” on the order.
Most bundle plugins create one artificial parent line. HostHob Product Bundles does the opposite: every selected product is a normal WooCommerce cart item and order line, using the original product ID, variation ID (when supported by add-ons), SKU, stock, and tax class.
That matters if you sync orders to ERP, WMS, 3PL, accounting, or inventory tools that expect real SKUs.
How it works
- Mark a product as a HostHob Product Bundles bundle and define selection groups (for example: Choose your shirt, Choose your pants).
- Customers configure the bundle on the product page.
- Each selected product is added as a real WooCommerce cart item.
- A percentage bundle discount is distributed proportionally across those real lines.
- Checkout creates ordinary order line items. HostHob Product Bundles metadata is supplementary only.

Designed for integrations
If an external system reads the order with normal WooCommerce APIs, it sees the purchased products/SKUs as ordinary lines. It does not need HostHob Product Bundles-specific knowledge to know what to fulfill.
Privacy
HostHob Product Bundles does not collect personal data beyond what WooCommerce already stores on orders. It does not phone home.

Installation
- Install and activate WooCommerce 8.0 or newer.
- Upload the
hhpbfolder to/wp-content/plugins/, or install via Plugins Add New. - Activate HostHob Product Bundles for WooCommerce.
- Edit a product Product data HostHob Product Bundles enable and configure groups.
- View the product on the storefront and configure a bundle.
Development / staging only: when WP_DEBUG is enabled, Tools HostHob Product Bundles Seed can create a demo catalog. Do not run that on a production catalog you care about.

Does the order contain a single bundle SKU?

No. The order contains the real component products and SKUs as separate line items. HostHob Product Bundles metadata is optional context.

Are variable products supported?

The free version focuses on simple products. Cart and order architecture already accepts a variation ID field so a Pro add-on can extend support without rewriting core.

How is the discount applied?

A percentage discount is distributed proportionally across component line totals. Remainder cents are assigned deterministically so the bundle total matches exactly. Prices are calculated on the server — never trusted from the browser.

What happens if I remove one item from a bundle in the cart?

The entire bundle instance is removed so required selections stay consistent.

Can customers change component quantities in the cart?

Not in the free version. Bundle component quantities are locked. To change the set, remove the bundle and configure it again.

Do coupons still work?

Yes. Store coupons apply on top of HostHob Product Bundles line prices using normal WooCommerce behavior.

Is this HPOS compatible?

Yes. HostHob Product Bundles declares compatibility with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage and uses WooCommerce order CRUD APIs.

Will there be a Pro version?

A separate optional Pro add-on is planned for advanced discount types, variation workflows, and related merchant tools. The free plugin remains fully usable on its own and is not artificially crippled.
