I tested out a wpHoot theme last year and downloaded this plugin to accompany it, I definitely like a lot of the elements of it. So much so that when it didn't appear the particular theme I was looking at was going to work for me, I kept using this plugin with the 'live' theme I've had and there were no issues in using it. At the beginning of 2020, I looked at the magazine News Byte theme and love that theme, it is everything I've been looking for and the HootKit plugin still compliments the functionality of the theme nicely. Now, I took one star off of my rating only because it would be nice if the plugin functions could be incorporated into their themes. I have not discussed this with wpHoot yet, but will. The plugin itself though offers some nice elements and if you're concerned about the other people's reviews and what they experienced, I recommend testing the plugin with your site in a test environment first. I would recommend that for any plugin though since not all plugin work well with all themes. I hope this review helps.

I'm using this plugin with a WPHoot theme and it works great! Lots of posts layout options and easy settings for each one. But be careful if you plan to download this plugin's demo content into your live site, because the demo will install a lot of stuff and may mess your current layout.

I agree that installing a demo is a great way to start. But I see nowhere to continue! No plugin configs are to be found anywhere in the admin and somehow I cannot config any widgets on any page in the theme customizer. After uninstalling this plugin my widget areas are still missing. Even in other themes. I had to restore a backup to fix the mess this plugin made on my site. This plugin is broken. Don't install it!

I have to say that the WP Hoot Team puts together the best quality products and services that I have come across in my 25+ years as an IT Professional. You can tell a quality tradesman but the work that they put out. And the team at WP Hoot really had the developer in mind with their work. Great job guys!!! Keep up the GREAT work!

This is the first thing I have thought after installing this. I was impressed by the Magazine Hoot theme therefore I decide to follow the suggestion to install this plugin. It changed my live site, it changed the name of it and added a contact number right on top of the page to contact you! Are you serious about this? Absolutely incredible. I understand there is written that you "suggest" to install it on a fresh site, but it must work on a live site too without making a mess out of it! It even added two extra posts!! I am so angry you can't imagine.
