Minimum order quantity and maximum quantity per product

Require at least 6 units or cap purchases at 12. Rules count products separately or combine eligible units in a group/cart.

Sell in packs with quantity steps and multiples

For packs of 6, set minimum and multiple to 6: allow 6, 12 and 18. A minimum alone also allows 7 or 8. Starting quantity suggests the first selection. Pack rules do not create bundles or discounts.

Minimum order amount and maximum order value

Set a minimum or maximum purchase value, such as 50 in your store currency. Choose tax and discount basis; cart checks can include shipping and fees. Amount rules check value, quantity rules count units.

Privacy and optional AI access

The plugin does not include telemetry, automatic diagnostic uploads or a built-in external AI service. Rules and custom messages are stored in your WordPress database. Customer targeting can store WordPress user IDs and role names; configuration exports can contain these identifiers, hashed user bindings, product references and merchant-entered text. Treat exports as private store configuration.

AI access is disabled by default. A site administrator must enable it, and each requesting WordPress user must have shop-management permission. If you connect a separate MCP adapter and AI client, that client can read rule configuration, including targeting identifiers and custom text. Review your chosen adapter/client’s permissions, privacy policy and terms before connecting it. No external provider account is required to use Min/Max. Proposed changes are held temporarily for review by the same WordPress user; the AI tools do not directly approve changes.

Diagnostics are generated locally and omit site URLs, filesystem paths, user identities, orders, rule names and custom messages. You decide whether to download and share them. Saved configuration is retained when the plugin is removed, as described below.

Compatibility with WooCommerce and plugin integrations

  • HS Dynamic Pricing & Discounts: promotion previews can show Min/Max restrictions; amount rules can use a before-Pricing basis. Pricing is optional.
  • WooCommerce: classic cart/checkout, variations and HPOS have local test evidence. Selected Cart/Checkout Blocks and Store API flows have been checked; this is not a claim of compatibility with every flow or extension.

Requirements and boundaries

Requires WooCommerce 10.6 or later, WordPress 6.8 or later and PHP 8.2 or later. Native lifecycle checks cover WP 6.8 / Woo 10.6.0 and WP 7.1 / Woo 11.1.0 on PHP 8.2.29. Observe WooCommerce’s own WordPress requirements. Other PHP branches and every intermediate combination have not been verified.

Elementor, Avada and other untested third-party stacks are not declared compatible. Only whole quantities are supported; decimal quantities, weight limits and lifetime customer purchase limits are not implemented.

FAQ

How do I set a minimum order quantity per product in WooCommerce?

Target the product with a quantity rule, set its minimum, review and enable it. A minimum of 6 with no multiple allows 7 or 8 too, subject to stock and other rules.

Can I limit the maximum quantity per product?

Yes. Set a maximum on a product rule. It applies to the current purchase, not lifetime customer purchases.

How do I sell in packs of 6 or in pairs?

Set minimum and quantity multiple to 6 for packs of 6, or to 2 for pairs. Starting quantity suggests the first selection.

Can I set a minimum order amount?

Yes. Use a cart amount rule with your chosen tax and discount basis. A minimum of 50 means 50 in your store currency. Choose whether shipping and fees count.

Can categories or variations share a minimum quantity?

Use a matching group with combined counting. A rule directly targeting a variable product applies to each variation. Explicit variation exceptions replace only the selected parent rule.

Can wholesale customers have different minimum quantities?

Yes. Target an existing customer role. The plugin does not create roles or wholesale prices.

Is a paid upgrade required?

No. All included features are free, without a license key or external service account.

What happens when several rules match?

All applicable rules must be satisfied. Test overlaps and available stock before enabling rules.

Will removal delete my settings?

No. Deactivation stops enforcement and retains configuration. Removing and reinstalling the current package retains saved rules. Keep a database backup and configuration export before updates. A rollback across a schema change may require restoring both code and its matching database backup.

A rule prevents customers from checking out. What should I check?

Check all matching product, variation, group and cart rules, together with available stock and any other quantity-limiting extensions. Disable the affected rule while you correct its configuration and test as both a guest and the targeted customer. Deactivating Min/Max stops its checks without deleting saved rules. Avoid enabling competing quantity engines without testing their combined behavior.

How should I report a security issue?

Email info@hookspark.dev privately with the affected version and steps to reproduce. Do not post passwords, access tokens, customer data or exploitable security details in public support discussions.

How are translations provided?

This directory package uses WordPress.org language packs and does not bundle translation files. Availability depends on translations being approved and released through translate.wordpress.org. Your WordPress profile language controls the admin interface; the site language controls storefront messages. Merchant-entered rule names and custom messages are not automatically translated.
