Hooki Pro connects your WordPress site to your WhatsApp Business number through Hooki (https://hooki.pro), to send automatic notifications to customers and display a “Chat on WhatsApp” button on your site.

Requirements
Automatic notifications require an active Hooki account with a valid API Key. The plugin itself is free; sending/receiving WhatsApp messages is provided by Hooki as a subscription service. The floating WhatsApp button, on the other hand, requires no account at all: it is a simple link to a manually configured number.
External services
This plugin connects to the external Hooki service (api.hooki.pro) to send and receive WhatsApp messages, only if you configure an API Key in the settings.
Data sent to Hooki when a notification is active:
- Recipient’s phone number (customer, site admin)
- Recipient’s name, when available
- The message text, generated from the templates configured by the site administrator
When: on every event configured by the administrator (e.g. WooCommerce order status change, form submission, booking). No data is sent to Hooki unless an API Key is configured.
The floating WhatsApp button does not use this service: it is a static wa.me link that sends no data to external servers.

Installation
- Upload the hooki-pro folder to /wp-content/plugins/, or install it through the WordPress “Plugins” screen.
- Activate the plugin.
- Go to Hooki Pro in the admin menu.
- For the WhatsApp button: set the number right away in the “API & Routing” tab, “WhatsApp Button on Site” section (no API Key needed).
- For automatic notifications: enter your Hooki API Key and configure the events in the various tabs (WooCommerce, Forms, Booking, etc.).

Do I need a Hooki account?

Only for automatic notifications (WooCommerce, forms, booking, etc.), which require an API Key obtained from a Hooki account (https://hooki.pro). The floating WhatsApp button on its own requires no account.
