Ggloball Connector

Description

Ggloball Connector links your WooCommerce shop with your account on ggloball.com, an online marketplace. Your shop sends its products to Ggloball; there you map your categories and choose which products to publish as ads. Nothing is published automatically.

Your server does all the calling, so nothing on your shop has to be reachable from the outside: a firewall, a CDN in front of the shop or a restricted REST API change nothing.

  • One-click connection – press “Connect to Ggloball”, approve on ggloball.com, done. Or paste the connection key from your Ggloball profile.
  • Choose what to send – only published products, or the whole shop including drafts and private products.
  • Background export – “Send all products now” runs in the background on your server, in small pages, so even a catalogue with tens of thousands of products does not hit a PHP time limit. You may close the page.
  • Live changes – price, sale, stock, texts, pictures, categories, moving to the bin and deleting reach Ggloball within a minute or two, including changes made by import scripts and bulk tools.
  • Hourly reconciliation (optional) – sends everything again once an hour to catch anything a live update missed.
  • Developer filter – add a structured technical specification to a product with the ggloball_connector_ai_spec filter.

A Ggloball account is required (free to create). Receiving products into the import needs the account’s Premium Shop plan or its free trial; the plugin’s “Test connection” button tells you if anything is missing.

External services

This plugin connects your shop to Ggloball (https://ggloball.com/), the marketplace where your products are published as ads. It does not work without that service. No data is sent before you connect the shop, and nothing is sent after you press “Disconnect” or deactivate the plugin.

What is sent to ggloball.com, and when:

  • While connecting (when you press “Connect to Ggloball”): your browser is sent to ggloball.com with your shop’s admin address, its name, a random state value and a one-time code challenge. After you approve, your server sends the one-time code and its verifier to https://ggloball.com/api/woo-connect-token.php and receives the connection key.
  • Connection test (“Test connection”, after connecting and after a key is saved): the connection key, your site address and name, the plugin version, the export scope and the number of products in scope, to https://ggloball.com/api/woo-import.php.
  • Sending products (“Send all products now”, and once an hour if hourly sending is enabled): for every product in the chosen scope its ID, SKU, name, descriptions, prices and currency, category path, image URLs, attributes, stock status and quantity, product URL and slug, status, created and modified dates, and the optional technical specification from the ggloball_connector_ai_spec filter; plus the connection key, your site address and name. Sent to https://ggloball.com/api/woo-import.php.
  • Live changes (within a minute or two after a product changes): the same product data for the changed products, or only the product ID for a product moved to the bin or deleted. Sent to https://ggloball.com/api/woo-import.php.

No data about your customers, orders or site visitors is sent, and the plugin does no tracking of any kind.

The plugin also registers read-only REST routes (/wp-json/ggloball/v1/...) that answer only requests carrying your connection key, so Ggloball can re-read your products on demand.

The service is provided by Ggloball: Terms of Use, Privacy Policy.

FAQ

Do I need a Ggloball account?

Yes. Creating one is free. Receiving products into the import needs the Premium Shop plan or its free trial.

Can I connect without the button?

Yes. On ggloball.com open My Profile -> Plugin Settings, copy your connection key, and paste it under “Or paste a connection key” on the plugin page.

Where is the connection key stored?

In your WordPress database (option ggloball_connector_key, not autoloaded). Deleting the plugin removes it together with all other plugin settings and its change table.

Is anything published automatically?

No. Products arrive in your import queue on ggloball.com; you decide what becomes an ad.

Does it work with WP-Cron disabled?

Yes. The export and the live changes move themselves along with a short request to your own site, and use WP-Cron only as a fallback.

Can I send my own technical specification data?

Yes:

add_filter( 'ggloball_connector_ai_spec', function ( $spec, $product_id ) {
    return array( 'brand' => 'ACME', 'attributes' => array( 'Width' => '60 cm' ) );
}, 10, 2 );

What happens when I disconnect or delete the plugin?

Nothing more is sent. Your ads and account on ggloball.com stay as they are until you change them there.
