External services

GemCRM works without contacting any external service for its core functionality. The Roboto webfont used in the admin interface is bundled with the plugin and served locally — no request is made to Google Fonts. The following optional features connect to third-party services only in the situations described below.

Email import connectors (user-initiated)
When you choose to import contacts from another email service and enter your own API credentials, GemCRM sends requests to that provider’s API to read your contacts. No data is sent unless you start an import. Supported providers and endpoints:

Amazon SNS (bounce handling)
If you enable Amazon SES bounce handling, GemCRM confirms the Amazon SNS subscription by sending a one-time request to the confirmation URL contained in the SNS notification (an *.amazonaws.com address). Build process (for reviewers and developers)

The plugin ships with its full, human-readable source. The admin application’s production bundle (assets/build/backend.*.js) is compiled from the JavaScript/React source in dev_gemcrm/ with @wordpress/scripts (webpack). To reproduce the build:

1. Install Node.js (>= 18).
2. From the plugin root, run npm install.
3. Run npm run build — this regenerates assets/build/ from dev_gemcrm/ according to webpack.config.js.

The single PHP dependency (Action Scheduler) is managed with Composer and bundled under vendor/.
