Description

Speak to all your WordPress site visitors and users to increase sales, collect feedback and provide support. For setup instructions, go here.

Modern messaging software that your sales and customer engagement teams will love.

1.Not your typical bot. Meet your new sales sidekick.

Engage proactively with those who matter with contextual and timely messages. Let the bot kick in to capture leads, validate and qualify responses, and auto-upload them into your CRM. Customize bot messages to set the right expectations.

2.Get all the context you need to sell smarter

With events timeline, user information, and social profiles, know who you’re talking to and what they are up to. Bring in information from external tools like CRM or order management systems for more context.

3.Reduce churn, increase adoption

Talk to your users before it’s too late. Set up in-app campaigns to onboard and educate new users, or retain and re-engage lapsing customers. Send announcements, get feedback, and share product best practices right inside the product to close the loop effectively and maximize impact.

Same problem as a previous user, I have a persistent error showing in the DevTools console that hasn't been resolved using the latest version of the plugin (2.3.0). Uncaught TypeError: Cannot set property 'externalId' of undefined Same issue on a clean WP install so it doesn't look like like a conflict with another plugin.

It took me some time to set it up, due to copy/paste quotation marks issues. Make sure you lose single quotation at the beginning of the code (self-explanatory) and change English paired quotation marks to neutral quotation marks (U+0022). Hope it helps.

Can you please briefly explain how to set up this plugin in WordPress. I followed the steps as you mentioned but it's not working.

This version of the plugin doesn't really work and only makes the configuration more troublesome than it should... After a couple of tries setting it up following the provided instructions, I gave up and went back to basics by using the "Insert Headers and Footers" plugin to add the code snippets available in my Freshchat account's settings/integration page. Notes on improvement: In my view, this plugin is kind of useless as it stands. It should be simple as having a field to insert your Token. All the other content should be added automatically by the plugin itself.

For standard users, this plugin might seem working well: you install it, activate, paste snippet code, and you see your chat on your freschat dashboard. However, I found some problems that can't just be ignored: - There is "fcSettings" variable in javascript that is not set if you don't follow exactly the instructions in this plugin's installation tab, instead of those in Integration Settings page. The thing is, if you don't do this, javascript and php display errors in debug log. If you don't do like this, your installation will work but your users' email is not recognized on Freshchat dasboard. - RestoreID and ExternalID are not saved properly. This also generates debug log notices (or errors), besides I haven't tested it yet but I guess your users won't get recognized as the same through different browsers. Please you should fix these things or this plugin makes no sense at all.
