How do I go online and chat with visitors?
  1. Visit your website and locate the chat at the bottom of the page
  2. Click on MENU > “Log in or Sign up.”
  3. Enter the e-mail and password you used to join Flyzoo

The main button will turn from “Leave a message” to “We are online”.

I need more time to test the chat, can you extend my trial period?

Can I test it on localhost?

Yes, but you still need to provide your production url when you sign up.

How do I embed a group chat on a page?

Log into the Dashboard, click on SETUP > LAYOUT & FEATURES and select the DOCK or USER LIST MODE
(the SIDE CHAT mode does not support embedded group chats). Finally click on SETUP > GROUP CHATS,
locate your chat room and click on “Get embedding code”.

Here you find the shortcode (or javascript version). Copy the shortcode and paste it into the desired page.

(Please note: to embed a group chat you need at least the PRO plan)

Can I use Flyzoo for customer support?

YES. Log into the dashboard and set this configuration:

  1. SETUP > CUSTOMIZATION > FEATURES set the main button action to “Live Support”
  2. SETUP > LIVE SUPPORT ENGAGEMENT > customize the “we are offline/online” popups
  3. Visit your site and Log into the chat widget to go online for your visitors (see FAQ above)

Will this chat slow down my site?

No, the chat is loaded asynchronously and our servers will handle all the chat workload.

I removed Flyzoo but it still shows on the frontend, how do I remove it completely?

Probably pages are being cached. Please try to:

  • clear your browser’s cache
  • if you are using a caching plugin, force a refresh: this should fix the issue.

Otherwise, please check that you haven’t embedded the chat script into some .php file – like footer.php for instance.

The best I’ve found so far – tried them all

So, I was pulling my hair out with frustration trying to find a chat that would work for me. I tried them all : tidio, zendesk, wisechat, ifly, formilla, oggflow, tawk, wplivechat.. and so on. I’m not saying they are intrinsically bad, they just weren’t any good for me. The others might work well for you, but for me running a community social networking website, they were either:
– running off my server and slowed my site down or
– I couldn’t change language or
– were too difficult to set up (for me) or for elderly users to understand where they should be writing or whatever or
– users needed to login separately from my site login or
– the chat could only open in a new page or
– the chat would only open on the chat creators website (i want to keep my users on my site)
– no popups or no popup options or
– users couldn’t send photos or videos etc.

now i admit that zendesk and tawk were not for community chat, rather for customer service, however, flyzoo does both, you just have to tick the box. Clever 🙂

Flyzoo takes no resources from my server, I can run it in French, it is so easy to set up and use that my cat could use it, logged in site users are automatically logged in to chat, and I can have the chat pop in from either side or be docked bottom right. Oh yes, and it’s so easy to customise with my own site colours. That was a big extra that i hadn’t expected. And users can send what they want.

Yeah, so finally, I’m happy with flyzoo despite the weird name 🙂

Awesome Group Chat Plugin

I tried few plugins including free ones and expensive ones. For multiple chatroom, number of seats, and features that I needed either the price tag was pretty high for a simple site like mine or the chat had too many downtimes and hiccups. Then comes flyzoo to the rescue, it had all the features that I needed except one – archiving the chat even after the moderator deleting the history – that i can live without. I haven’t had one down time yet and the support is amazing. Andrea is simply amazing with the support. Do you ever sleep Andrea? Thank you so much for the awesome plugin my users love the chat room!
