Description
Search Visibility is a local auditor, not another llms.txt-only plugin and not an SEO suite.
It inspects public WordPress content on your site, then turns findings into a task list (open, edit, mark done). Traditional SEO checks and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) checks sit side by side. You keep Yoast, Rank Math, All in One SEO, or SEOPress for titles, canonicals, sitemaps, and schema.
The plugin measures on-site readiness. It does not guarantee rankings, citations, traffic, or inclusion in ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, or any other product.
How this is different
- Auditor, not a generator suite. It does not overwrite titles, canonicals, robots.txt, or schema owned by your SEO plugin.
- Tasks, not a dump of warnings. Each finding is a checklist item with a Fix/Edit link and Mark done.
- SEO and GEO as siblings. Separate admin screens, one workflow.
- On-demand only. Nothing scans on every page load and nothing is sent to an external AI API.
- llms.txt is optional. You generate it and choose whether to serve
/llms.txt. Draft, private, and password-protected URLs are excluded.
What this plugin does
- Run an on-demand GEO audit. WordPress APIs and stored content only.
- Show a GEO Readiness Score (0–100). Local heuristic, not a ranking prediction.
- Run an on-demand SEO scan of public pages for titles, meta descriptions, headings, and image alt text.
- Optional curated llms.txt.
- Detects Yoast, Rank Math, All in One SEO, and SEOPress when they are active.
- Optional email after a scan (off by default, at most once per 24 hours) via
wp_mail.
What this plugin does not do
- No OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, or other AI API key.
- No account or SaaS registration.
- No telemetry and no Search Visibility servers.
- No automatic content or metadata writes.
- No background scans.
Privacy
- Core features do not call third-party APIs.
- Settings live in
geo_optimizer_settingsand are not exposed on the public REST API. - Scan caches and completed tasks are WordPress options.
- Optional dashboard reminder uses user meta.
- Optional post-scan email uses
wp_mailto the site admin address. - Deleting the plugin runs
uninstall.phpand removes that data.

FAQ
-

-
No. Scores and tasks describe on-site checks only.
-
Does this plugin send my content to an AI service?
-
No. Audits run on your WordPress site.
-
Does it replace Yoast SEO, Rank Math, or All in One SEO?
-
No. It lists issues so you can fix them in WordPress or your SEO plugin.
-
What is llms.txt?
