FeedPup – XML & CSV Supplier Feed Import for WooCommerce

Description

FeedPup is a WooCommerce XML import and WooCommerce CSV import tool: it imports products from your supplier’s XML or CSV feed and keeps price and stock in sync. Paste the supplier feed URL (or upload a CSV file), review the field matches suggested by Pup (FeedPup’s AI-assisted mapper), preview real products, and only then import. After setup, FeedPup updates the selected product details, prices and stock levels on a schedule, so you stop editing spreadsheets by hand.

Supplier feeds all use different field names and structures. FeedPup shows you what it found, and nothing is applied until you confirm it.

Who it’s for: wholesalers, resellers and dropshipping stores that import products from one or more suppliers and need ongoing product sync, stock sync and inventory sync without manual spreadsheet work.

XML and CSV product import and stock sync features

  • AI-assisted field mapping – Pup recognises fields such as titles, SKUs, prices, stock, images and categories and suggests matches, with product examples. You review and confirm every suggestion.
  • Preview before import – Check how products will look in WooCommerce before anything is written.
  • Free draft test import – Create up to 50 products as WooCommerce drafts to verify the result.
  • Simple and variable products – Import products with their variations and attributes.
  • Category mapping – Map supplier categories to your WooCommerce categories.
  • Price and stock sync – Inventory sync on autopilot: keep selected product details, prices and stock up to date on the schedule your plan includes.
  • Product images – Images are downloaded into your WooCommerce Media Library on import.
  • No needless writes – Unchanged supplier data causes no product writes, and reconnecting reuses linked products.
  • Product-only access – A signed connection that never requests customers, orders, checkout or payment data.

FeedPup uses WooCommerce’s standard stock quantity. Multi-location inventory extensions are not integrated.

Free test import and paid plans

FeedPup is a hosted service (SaaS); nothing in this plugin is locked. Free: feed analysis, mapping, preview and a 50-product draft test import, with no time limit. Full imports and scheduled syncs need a paid plan, billed by FeedPup via Stripe: Starter €9.99/month (750 products), Growth €19.99/month (5,000) or Pro €39.99/month (20,000); yearly billing available. Each paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial, once per store. Enterprise (agencies, multi-store, large catalogs): contact@weareplano.gr.

External services

This plugin connects to the FeedPup hosted service at https://woo.feedpup.weareplano.gr, operated by PLANO (https://weareplano.gr). It is needed to analyse supplier feeds, map fields and run imports and syncs. Nothing is sent until you tick the consent box and click Connect in WooCommerce > FeedPup.

Requests the plugin makes:

  • Connect / Open FeedPup (POST https://woo.feedpup.weareplano.gr/api/wordpress/connect) – when you click Connect FeedPup or Open FeedPup. Sends your site URL, a generated installation ID and a generated connection secret. FeedPup returns a sign-in link to its app.
  • Disconnect (POST https://woo.feedpup.weareplano.gr/api/wordpress/disconnect) – when you click Disconnect FeedPup, or when you deactivate the plugin while connected. Sends the same three values so FeedPup can revoke access and pause syncing.
  • Image downloads – when FeedPup imports a product, the plugin downloads its image URLs from the supplier feed (the supplier’s servers) into your Media Library.

After connecting, FeedPup calls your store’s REST API (/wp-json/feedpup/v1/commerce) with signed requests to read the store name, currency, timezone and plugin version, and to create and update products, variations, prices, stock and categories. It never asks for customer, order, checkout or payment data.

FeedPup stores the supplier feed URL (encrypted), any uploaded CSV file as an encrypted snapshot for up to 7 days (then deleted), the connection secret (encrypted), confirmed mappings, sync preferences, product links, sync results and billing state. For AI-assisted field suggestions, FeedPup may send OpenRouter (https://openrouter.ai) and the model provider serving the request a filtered structural summary of selected feed fields and a small number of sample values. It never sends the full XML feed, the feed URL, the connection secret or payment-card details to AI providers. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe-hosted checkout (https://stripe.com); FeedPup does not store card numbers.

Data retention and removal

  • Disconnect: the local connection secret is deleted, FeedPup revokes access and pauses syncing. Feed settings and product links are kept for up to 30 days to allow reconnection, then deleted. Imported products stay in your store.
  • Deactivate: the plugin asks FeedPup to revoke access and starts the same retention period. If FeedPup cannot be reached, the local secret is still deleted, so no more signed writes are possible.
  • Uninstall: plugin settings and the local secret are removed. Four small feedpup_* tables holding product IDs and keys are kept so a reinstall can recognise linked products instead of duplicating them. If you will never use FeedPup again, you can drop them manually.
  • FeedPup never deletes your WooCommerce products, variations, categories, images or orders.
  • Disconnecting or uninstalling does not cancel a paid subscription. Cancel it in FeedPup’s billing controls first.

FAQ

How do I import products from an XML or CSV feed into WooCommerce?

Open WooCommerce > FeedPup and connect, paste the supplier XML or CSV feed URL (or upload a CSV) in the FeedPup app, confirm the suggested field mapping, preview the products and run the free draft test import. A full import is one click after that on a paid plan.

Can FeedPup update stock and prices from a supplier feed automatically?

Yes. After the first import, scheduled syncs update the stock quantity, prices and other fields you selected. A run with no supplier changes makes no product writes. Scheduled sync needs a paid plan.

Does it work for dropshipping and wholesale suppliers?

Yes, as long as the supplier provides an XML or CSV product feed. FeedPup is built for feeds that use their own field names and structures. Check your feed with the free analysis and preview first.

Can I import a CSV file?

Yes. Paste a CSV or TSV feed URL (comma, semicolon or tab separated; the format is detected automatically) or upload a CSV file of up to 5 MB. Uploaded files are snapshots, so automatic sync needs a feed URL that your supplier keeps updated.

Does FeedPup import products without asking?

No. You review the detected fields and preview first. The free test import creates draft products, and a full import starts only when you choose it.

Is this an automatic product import tool?

FeedPup automates the recurring work. You confirm the mapping and start the first import yourself; after that, scheduled syncs keep the linked products’ prices, stock and selected fields up to date automatically on a paid plan.

What is the difference between XML import and CSV import?

None in how you work with FeedPup. Both formats go through the same mapping, preview and test import steps. Use a feed URL for either format if you want automatic stock sync.

Can I try it before paying?

Yes. The free plan has no time limit, and every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial.

Is my product data sent to an AI service?

Only a filtered structural summary of selected feed fields and a few sample values are used for AI suggestions. The full feed or uploaded file, the feed URL, your connection secret and payment details are never sent to AI providers. See “External services” below.

How do I change or cancel a paid plan?

Open Plans in FeedPup and use the hosted billing controls. Disconnecting the plugin does not cancel a paid subscription.
