Feedgeorge WordPress Plugin

Description

Feedgeorge is a platform to discover, create and share news, information and data about places. It aggregates location data in a single platform. To help WordPress users with a better geotagging experience, we introduce you Feedgeorge WordPress Plugin (FGWPP).

WordPress users are able to use this plugin to:

a) geotag a single blog post and show the map marker on Post GeoMap.
b) aggregate all blog post’s coordinate markers in a single map and publish on the homepage of their blogs.
c) show all markers in heatmap or single map marker format in the aggregated map on homepage.
d) draw (or import) a polygon on map and export it in KML format.
e) pull stories that nearby to blog post’s location from Feedgeorge.
f) share blog posts with Feedgeorge for incoming traffic boost.

Installation

  1. Under Admin Dashboard, go to “Plugins” tab. Click on “Add New” button and search for “Feedgeorge”
  2. You will see the search result with the name of “Feedgeorge WordPress Plugin”. Click on “Install Now” button and click “OK” to confirm the installation.
  3. Once the installation has completed, click on “Activate Plugin” button.

Feedgeorge WordPress Plugin Settings

  1. Before you start using Feedgeorge WordPress Plugin, you need to sign up for API key.
  2. Login to Feedgeorge to generate the API key if you have already registered as member.
  3. If you are the new user, click on “sign up” (http://www.Feedgeorge.com/apisignup/) button in Settings page.
  4. Fill up all details needed in the application form and API key will be auto-generated.
  5. Copy the API key and paste it into Feedgeorge WordPress Plugin Settings page.

Upgrading

  1. When upgrading, visit the plugins page in your admin area, scroll down to “Feedgeorge WordPress plugin” and click upgrade.
  2. WordPress will help you upgrade automatically.
