Description

EZ Auditions is a WordPress plugin designed to make managing auditions simple. It gives organizations a straightforward way to create audition events, organize rooms and audition times, and let auditioners reserve available time slots online — all from within WordPress.

Whether you are scheduling auditions for a theater production, choir, dance program, music ensemble, school, community organization, or other performing arts group, EZ Auditions helps replace spreadsheets, email exchanges, and complicated scheduling systems with a single, organized workflow.

How It Works

EZ Auditions is built around a simple four-part workflow:

Create an Event

Start by creating an audition Event and defining the basic information, including the event name, location, description, reservation settings, and public Reservation Page.

Add Rooms

Add the rooms or audition locations that will be used for the event. Each room can have its own description and schedule of available audition times.

Create Audition Times

Generate audition times in bulk or add individual times as needed. EZ Auditions keeps track of which times are available and which have already been reserved.

Accept Reservations

Connect the event to a normal WordPress page and publish your Reservation Page. Auditioners can view available times and reserve a slot without needing a WordPress account.

EZ Auditions is designed around the way auditions are actually organized. Administrators can manage events, rooms, audition times, and reservations from the WordPress dashboard while auditioners interact with a simple public reservation page.

The plugin also handles the details that come with managing reservations, including confirmation, cancellation, and reservation changes. Administrators can review schedules, monitor reservation activity, confirm reservations when necessary, and export event and room schedules for use outside WordPress.

A guided Setup Assistant helps administrators get an event up and running without having to configure every component manually.

Getting Started

1. Install and activate EZ Auditions.
2. Open EZ Auditions → Setup Assistant.
3. Create your Event.
4. Add one or more Rooms.
5. Generate or add Audition Times.
6. Create a Reservation Page or connect an existing WordPress page.
7. Review the setup.
8. Open Reservations when you are ready.

Reservation Page

A Reservation Page is a normal WordPress page where people can view available Audition Times and make Reservations.

The Setup Assistant can create the page for you. You can also connect an existing page from the Event settings.

Requirements

EZ Auditions requires WordPress and PHP versions compatible with the versions listed above. A WordPress site capable of sending email is recommended for reservation notifications and verification.

Privacy

EZ Auditions stores Event, Room, Slot, and Reservation information in the site’s WordPress database. Reservation information may include names, email addresses, phone numbers, notes, and reservation status depending on the Event’s configuration and the information submitted by the person making the Reservation.

Site administrators are responsible for configuring their site’s privacy and retention practices appropriately.

External Services

EZ Auditions uses the EZ Auditions service at https://ezauditions.com to receive feature requests, bug reports, and other feedback submitted by administrators from within the WordPress dashboard.

When feedback is submitted, EZ Auditions sends the information provided in the feedback form, along with the site’s URL, site name, EZ Auditions version, WordPress version, and PHP version to ezauditions.com. This information is used to receive, review, and respond to EZ Auditions feedback.
