Description
Epexta Social Publisher shares your WordPress posts, custom post types and pages to LinkedIn as soon as they are published. Post to your personal profile, to company pages you administer, or both, using a free Epexta account to connect. You do not need to create a LinkedIn developer app.
Features
- Share to your personal profile and/or company pages you administer
- Share posts, custom post types and pages, and limit sharing to chosen categories
- Text-only posts, or posts with the featured image included
- Default share message built from shortcodes, with a per-post override in the post meta box
- “Share Now” button for manual sharing from the post edit screen
- Import RSS and Atom feeds on their own schedules and share the imported items the same way
- Share history shown on the post edit screen and in the all-posts list
How it works
New posts are shared automatically when they are published. To skip a post, untick its LinkedIn checkbox before publishing. Your posts are sent directly from your site to LinkedIn; they never pass through Epexta. Epexta only brokers the LinkedIn sign-in, as described under “External services” below.
Good to know
- LinkedIn access tokens expire after 60 days, so you will need to click “Connect with LinkedIn” again about every two months. A dashboard notice reminds you before it expires.
- LinkedIn’s API supports sharing to profiles and company pages only, not LinkedIn Articles.
- An Epexta account is required to connect. It is free.

External services
This plugin connects to two third-party services. Both are required for it to work, and nothing is sent until an administrator clicks “Connect with LinkedIn”.
Epexta (https://epexta.whitewayweb.com), operated by White Way Web. It holds the LinkedIn app credentials so you do not need your own LinkedIn developer app, and brokers the LinkedIn sign-in and token exchange. When you click “Connect with LinkedIn” your browser is sent to Epexta, along with the address of your site’s settings page so you can be sent back. When you return, the plugin sends Epexta a one-time code and your site’s admin URL in exchange for your LinkedIn access token. Your posts are not sent to Epexta. What Epexta stores about your account and connection is described in its privacy policy.

LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com), operated by LinkedIn Corporation. The plugin uses your access token to read the name and picture of your profile and the company pages you administer, and to publish the posts you choose to share (title, text, link and optionally the featured image).

If you add RSS feeds on the Feeds screen, the plugin also fetches those feed URLs, and the permalink of imported items, from your server.
