Description
Add a loan calculator, a mortgage calculator, an EMI calculator, a BMI calculator or any of eleven others to your WordPress site, in whatever editor you already use. There is nothing to design and nothing to wire up: pick a calculator, set your currency and colours, and publish.
Most calculator plugins hand you a form builder and expect you to write the formula yourself. These are finished calculators that work the moment you place them.
It works with or without a page builder. The shortcode runs in the classic editor, in widgets and in almost every page builder. There is a block for the WordPress editor and a widget for Elementor, and a template tag for theme files.
You control how it looks and reads
- Four style presets to start from, then any colour you like: accent, background, text, borders and the result panel.
- Four layouts: side by side, card, stacked and minimal.
- Text size, result size, spacing, corner radius and maximum width.
- Show or hide the sliders, the chart and the breakdown table.
- Your own wording for the field labels and the result.
- An optional button under the result, pointing anywhere you want.
Made for any country
- Any currency symbol or code, before or after the number.
- An optional currency dropdown, so visitors pick their own from 40 currencies and every figure reformats.
- Four number formats: 1,234,567.89 – 12,34,567.89 – 1.234.567,89 – 1 234 567,89.
- Your choice of decimal places.
- Metric or imperial units.
Built to behave
- The first result is worked out by PHP, so visitors see real numbers straight away, even before scripts load.
- A calculator fits the space it sits in, so it works in a narrow sidebar as well as a full width section.
- No account, no external service and no data sent anywhere. Everything runs on your site.
- Site wide defaults on one settings page, and any single calculator can override them.
The calculators
Money
- Loan payment – monthly payment, total interest and total cost, with starting values for a general, car, personal or home loan.
- Mortgage – monthly payment from the price, the deposit and the rate, including property tax and insurance.
- Savings and compound interest – what a starting amount and a monthly deposit grow into, compounded as often as you like.
- Retirement savings – the pot at retirement, and the yearly income it would give.
Business
- Return on investment – gain, return and the return a year.
- Profit margin and markup – profit, margin and markup from a cost and a price.
- Freelance hourly rate – the rate that pays the income you want.
- Tip and bill split – the tip, the total and what each person pays.
Health
- Body mass index – BMI, the category and the healthy weight range for a height.
- Daily calories – calories to keep, lose or gain weight, using the Mifflin St Jeor equation.
- Body fat – body fat percentage from a few measurements, using the US Navy method.
The health calculators work in metric or imperial, and can let visitors switch between the two.

FAQ
-
How do I add a loan calculator to WordPress?
-
Paste
[ecreate_calculator type="loan"]into any page, or add the Calculator block and pick Loan payment. It works out the monthly payment, the total interest and the total cost, and shows a chart. -
Can I add a mortgage calculator to Elementor?
-
Yes. Drag the Calculator widget from the Ecreate section and choose Mortgage. It handles the deposit, the interest rate, the term and optional property tax and insurance. Elementor is optional: the shortcode and the block work on any theme without it.
-
Is there a free BMI calculator for WordPress?
-
This one. The BMI calculator shows the figure, the category and the healthy weight range for a height, in metric or imperial, and visitors can switch between the two.
-
Which calculators are included?
-
Loan payment, mortgage, savings and compound interest, retirement, return on investment, profit margin and markup, freelance hourly rate, tip and bill split, BMI, daily calories and body fat.
-
Do I need Elementor?
-
No. Elementor is optional. The shortcode works in any editor, there is a block for the WordPress editor, and you can call
eccalc_calculator( 'loan' );in a theme file. The Elementor widget appears only if you happen to have Elementor active. -
Can one calculator look different from the rest?
-
Yes. The settings page sets the defaults for the whole site, and each calculator can override any of them. In the block and the Elementor widget the options are in the sidebar; in the shortcode they are attributes, for example
[ecreate_calculator type="loan" currency_symbol="EUR" preset="dark" layout="card"]. -
Which currencies does it support?
-
Any of them. You type the symbol or code you want, choose whether it goes before or after the number, and pick the number format and the number of decimal places that suit your country.
-
Can visitors choose their own currency?
-
Yes. Turn on the currency dropdown and a list of 40 currencies appears above the fields. Picking one changes the symbol, moves it to the side that currency uses and switches the number grouping, so a euro reads 1.234,56 EUR and a rupee reads 12,34,567. You choose which currency it starts on.
-
Does it work with my theme?
-
It should. The calculator brings its own styles, uses your chosen colours rather than the theme’s, and adjusts to the width of the space it is placed in.
-
Does it send my visitors’ numbers anywhere?
-
No. Everything is worked out in the visitor’s browser and on your own server. Nothing is stored and nothing is sent to us or to any other service.
-
Yes. Set the button text and link on the settings page for every calculator, or on a single calculator in the block, the widget or the shortcode.
-
Can you build a calculator we need but you do not have?
-
Yes, that is part of what we do. There is a contact link on the plugin’s settings page.
