Description
Since 2025, French law (the “AGEC” anti-waste law) requires online shops to display the durability index (indice de durabilité) for televisions and washing machines, shown next to the price. The repairability index (indice de réparabilité) still applies to other categories such as dishwashers, vacuum cleaners, laptops, lawnmowers and pressure washers. Non-compliance can lead to fines (up to €75,000 for a company).
Durabl.io makes your WooCommerce store compliant in a few minutes:
- Add a dedicated tab to each product: pick the regulatory category and enter the score out of 10.
- The official pictogram (correct regulatory color, Marianne typography) is displayed automatically below the price — on the product page and in catalog listings.
- Official graphic charter respected: correct color thresholds, score at least as tall as the price.
- Optional link to the manufacturer’s detailed scoring table.

Depuis 2025, l’affichage de l’indice de durabilité est obligatoire en France pour les téléviseurs et lave-linge, y compris en vente à distance : la note doit être visible à proximité du prix. L’indice de réparabilité reste obligatoire pour d’autres catégories (lave-vaisselle, aspirateurs, ordinateurs portables, tondeuses, nettoyeurs haute pression). Where do the pictograms come from?
They are the official files published by the French Ministry for Ecological Transition (durability index charter, June 2024; repairability index charter, July 2020). Their use is mandatory for the regulatory display.
Where do I find my products’ scores?
From your supplier/manufacturer, or in the national open-data registries published on data.gouv.fr. The score must be displayed as-is, without rounding or extrapolation.
Does the plugin send any data externally?
No. No external requests, no telemetry. Everything is stored in your WordPress database (product metadata).
My theme doesn’t show the badge, what can I do?
Use the shortcode
[durablio_indice](or[durablio_indice id="123"]) in your layout.
