  • Search for the plugin Download Media Library and click on Install Now link.
  • Click the 'downml' menu to create the zip file of all your media.


  1. Upload EPT Empty Plugin Template to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress

Nothing but a image downloader

This plugin is nothing more than a downloader which destroys the “Uploads” folder structure. Lacks serious validation. How is one supposed to organise 300 files after backup?
WordPress tools > export > “media” is more reliable and has similar features and works to restore back. Pointless, waste of time plugin unless I am missing something.

Does not work

I get the following error message:

Media Library contains 459 files in excess of 169.76 MiB

Note : Creating a huge zip file. This page may timeout before zipping is complete.

Creating compressed file …failed.

Sorry Sonny! Something went wrong. Reason : zip open failed. Exiting
