Doitforme Tracking makes it easy to connect your website with tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, and Google Tag Manager. It brings the important settings together in one simple place, so you can see what is active without editing code or searching through multiple plugins.
It also checks your site for possible duplicate tracking installations and cookie-management tools that may need attention. This helps prevent inaccurate reporting, keeps your data more reliable, and gives you a clear picture of how tracking is set up on your website.
Users begin in the Tracking section, where they choose either direct installation or Google Tag Manager. They enter the relevant tracking IDs, turn each tool on or off, and save. The plugin validates IDs before saving them and confirms whether the setup was accepted.
They can run a Site Check to identify existing tracking tools, possible duplicate installations, and cookie-consent plugins. Results are presented clearly, with details available when needed, while the plugin never changes other plugins automatically.
For Google Tag Manager, users can create a new container, have it saved as their active setup, and verify it. In the Google Ads section, users sign in with their separate Doitforme account, select a Google Ads account, start conversion setup, and follow its progress until it is completed or needs attention.
External services
The plugin also communicates with secure Doitforme services hosted on our servers for actions that need platform support, such as creating a Google Tag Manager container, verifying a setup, retrieving available Google Ads accounts, and preparing conversion tracking. This allows users to complete these steps from WordPress without having to manually configure every part in external advertising platforms. Data sent is the current domain of the wordpress installation, doitforme account username and password for retrieving their stored Google Ads IDs, and google account id that the user selects in order to initiate the conversion setup.
