Dialogoo is a hosted video chat and webcam chat platform for websites: multi-user chat rooms, multi-webcam video, private messaging, and moderation tools, without you having to host or maintain any video chat software yourself.

This plugin embeds the Dialogoo video chat / webcam chat room you’ve already configured in your Dialogoo webmaster panel directly into any WordPress page or post, using a simple shortcode — or as a floating chat bubble that follows visitors around your whole site.

You’ll need a Dialogoo account and a Site Key (found under My chat Integration in your Dialogoo webmaster panel) to use this plugin. Sign up at dialogoo.com if you don’t have one yet — the settings screen also links there directly. Embedding must also be turned on for your video/webcam chat from that same panel page.

This plugin embeds content and functionality hosted by Dialogoo (dialogoo.com), a third-party live chat service:

The [dialogoo_chat] shortcode loads https://dialogoo.com/chat inside an <iframe>.
The optional floating chat bubble loads a script from https://dialogoo.com/assets/js/embed.js, which itself opens a https://dialogoo.com/chat iframe when a visitor clicks it.

When a visitor’s browser loads either of these, it connects directly to dialogoo.com — the same as visiting any page that embeds third-party content — which involves standard connection metadata (e.g. IP address, user agent) reaching Dialogoo’s servers so the chat can be shown. This plugin itself does not separately collect, transmit, or store any visitor data; it only outputs the <iframe>/<script> tag described above, and only once you’ve configured a Site Key.

Installation

Upload the dialogoo-chat folder to /wp-content/plugins/, or install it via Plugins Add New Upload Plugin.
Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress.
Don’t have a Dialogoo account yet? Create one for free.
Go to Settings Dialogoo Chat and enter your Site Key (from your Dialogoo webmaster panel My chat Integration).
Add [dialogoo_chat] to any page or post, use the Create a page with the chat button for a ready-made page, and/or enable the floating chat bubble — all from the same settings screen.

FAQ

Is this a real video chat / webcam chat plugin, or just a contact widget?

It’s a real, live video chat and webcam chat room — multi-user, with private messaging, multiple webcams per room, and moderation tools — not a single-operator support widget. The chat itself runs on Dialogoo’s hosted platform; this plugin just embeds the video/webcam chat room you’ve configured there into your WordPress site.

Where do I find my Site Key?

Log into your Dialogoo account, open My chat Integration (/chatadmin/developer), and copy the Site Key shown there.

That notice is only ever shown to a logged-in administrator, never to your visitors — it’s a reminder to finish setup at Settings Dialogoo Chat. A visitor sees nothing at all until a Site Key is configured.

Can I embed more than one chat, or override the size on one page?

Yes — pass site, width and/or height directly to the shortcode to override the defaults for that one instance:

Can I send visitors straight into one specific room?

Yes — add room="room-slug" (find a room’s slug in your Dialogoo webmaster panel under Rooms) to land visitors directly in that room instead of your chat’s default:

An unknown or misspelled slug is silently ignored, falling back to your chat’s normal default room.

Does the shortcode work with page builders and the block editor?

Yes — anywhere you can insert a WordPress shortcode (Gutenberg’s Shortcode block, Classic Editor, most page builders’ shortcode widgets) will render it.

Does the floating bubble show up in wp-admin too?

No — it only prints on front-end pages.

Where do I sign up for a Dialogoo account?

https://dialogoo.com/register — free, no credit card required. The settings screen links there too whenever no Site Key is configured yet.

Can the plugin create a page for me?

Yes — Settings Dialogoo Chat has a “Create a page with the chat” button that publishes a new page containing just [dialogoo_chat], so you don’t have to create or edit one yourself. Once created, the same section shows View/Edit links for that page instead.

Can I show the chat completely full screen, with no site header or footer?

Yes — open any page or post in the editor and check Full screen (no theme header/footer) in the “Dialogoo Chat” box in the sidebar. That page then fills the whole browser window with no site header, footer, menu, or sidebar — just the chat. “Create a page with the chat” also has this as a checkbox, checked by default, so a page it creates is full screen from the start.
