Custom Tag List

Description

This plugin introduces a new template-tag called ctl_the_tags(). It’s default default behaviour is identical to the_tags(). Anyhow, it allows the user to disable linking tags completely or use a different URI for the tags.

Installation

  1. Upload custom-tag-list.php to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
  3. Use some variant of ctl_the_tags() in your templates

FAQ

How do I unlink the tags?

Use <?php ctl_the_tags('Tags: ', ', ', '', false); ?> instead of <?php the_tags(); ?>.

How do I use a custom taglink?

You can use, for example, <?php ctl_the_tags('Tags: ', ', ', '', true, 'http://www.technorati.com/tag/%tag%'); ?>.

My custom taglink does not work.

The function does not check whether the taglink you entered is valid or not. Be sure to inclue %tag% in the taglink to ensure that it can be replaced by the actual tag.
