Contextual Related Posts Taxonomy Tools

Description

CRP Taxonomy Tools is an extension for Contextual Related Posts that adds another degree of related posts matching by adding the option to restrict these related posts to the same category, tag or custom taxonomy. This plugin adds additional checkboxes under General options under the Related Posts page.

Additionally, you can also disable the contextual matching engine either on posts/pages or on only custom post types.

Requires Contextual Related Posts v2.0 or higher.

Brilliant!

I’m REALLY happy with Contextual Related Posts, not least because it’s well structured and easy to customise. But we have several authors, all with different writing styles, so the content search wasn’t always finding the best results. Found this taxonomy plugin – and was a bit worried that it would stop looking for related content as well as tags.

Results are excellent, though. Thank you 🙂

Simply Perfect

Thanks again for this awesome add-on. This is working perfectly on our site which solved the problem we had where in sidebar we had “recent news from company xyz” based on pulling last 5 items from the “user/company” — but then the 10 bottom of page text CPT items would often be the same simply based on “related” process. Now, we can have that break out to be related items from more broad category items such as other items in “banking” now showing more readily — and again, not just repeating the same five items already on page.

Awesome + sauce = You ! 🙂

Great addon

This is very great. Now I have more control on my Custom Post Type to not mix with the related posts from normal post type categories. Many way to use. Thank you so much.
