ContactSweep by Rank Secure – Find Outdated Phone Numbers, Emails & Addresses

Description

You changed your phone number two years ago. You updated the header, the footer and the contact page. You did not update the blog post from 2019, the old page builder section still sitting in the database, or the widget in a sidebar nobody looks at.

Customers are still calling the old number. You have no way of knowing.

ContactSweep scans your entire site, finds every phone number, email address, street address and postal code, and compares them against the details you say are correct. Anything that does not match is listed with a direct link to the exact page where it lives.

Why this is different from search and replace

Search and replace plugins need you to already know the old value. That is the problem. Nobody remembers the phone number they stopped using in 2019, or the three variations of a suite number typed by four different people over the years.

ContactSweep works the other way around. It discovers every contact detail on the site by pattern, groups the variations together, and shows you what is actually there. You only have to tell it what is correct.

What it looks at

  • Posts, pages and every public custom post type
  • Page builder and custom field data, which is where Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder and ACF store content
  • Site settings, widgets and theme options
  • Category and tag descriptions

What it finds

  • Phone numbers, in any format, including tel: links
  • Email addresses, including ones obfuscated with HTML entities
  • Street addresses
  • Canadian postal codes and United States ZIP codes

Formatting consistency

The Formatting tab shows every way each of your own phone numbers is written across the site. If one number appears as 905-555-1234 in the header, (905) 555-1234 in the footer and 905.555.1234 in a blog post, you will see it at a glance. Inconsistent formatting looks careless to visitors and makes it harder for directories to match your listing.

It never changes your content

ContactSweep only reads. It reports what it finds and links you to the editor. Nothing is rewritten, replaced or deleted automatically, so there is no risk of a bulk operation damaging your content.

Privacy

Everything happens on your own server. The plugin makes no external requests, sends no data anywhere, and requires no account, licence or API key. Every feature is included.

FAQ

Does it change anything on my site?

No. It only reads your database and reports what it finds. Every fix is made by you, in the normal editor, using the links provided.

Will it slow down my site?

No. Nothing runs on the front end. The scan runs only when you press the button in the admin area, and it works in small batches so it does not time out on large sites.

It found a phone number that is not mine, but it is supposed to be there

Add it to the Ignore these box in Settings. It will stop being reported so it does not bury the findings that matter.

It missed a phone number

Bare ten digit numbers with no separators, such as 9055551234, are only reported when a word like phone, call or fax appears nearby. Without that rule every order number and reference code on the site would be flagged as a phone number.

It missed a postal code

Canadian postal codes are matched in upper case only. This is deliberate: lower case matching would flag hex colour codes and CSS class names on every page built with a page builder.

Does it work outside North America?

Street address detection uses English language street suffixes, and postal code detection covers Canada and the United States. Phone number and email address detection work anywhere.

Do I need an account or an API key?

No. There is no account, no key, no external service and no paid tier.
