CMAA Recruit

Description

CMAA Recruit turns WordPress into a recruitment ATS for a single company’s own careers site: public job listings, a public application form with resume upload, a plain applications list for recruiters, a login-free candidate status portal, and privacy tools for consent and personal-data requests. Fully usable for free, with no paid-plan limits on job listings, applications, or recruiter seats.

Job listings

  • Job Listings custom post type with an Advanced Job Builder (structured job information, compensation, eight rich-content sections, and SEO/social-sharing fields: SEO title, meta description, canonical URL, Open Graph tags, and Google-for-Jobs-ready JobPosting/BreadcrumbList structured data).
  • Dedicated job taxonomies for categories, levels, nature, work modes, and departments.
  • [cmaa_jobs] frontend job listings shortcode with keyword, location, and category search, pagination, and a single job detail template – also available as a Gutenberg block and an Elementor widget with matching controls.
  • Candidate-facing social sharing (LinkedIn, Facebook, WhatsApp) on job cards and the single job page, plus a one-click “Share on LinkedIn” link for recruiters once a job is published.

Applications

  • Frontend job application form with resume upload (PDF/DOC/DOCX, encrypted at rest), honeypot and optional Google reCAPTCHA v3 spam protection, and duplicate-application detection.
  • Recruiter admin Applications list: job, candidate, applied date, view resume, delete – scoped so a Recruiter only sees their own jobs’ applications and a Super User sees all of them.
  • Login-free “check my application status” portal, reached via a private link unique to each application: view pipeline progress at a glance.
  • Automatic “Application Received” confirmation email to the candidate, with a link to their status page.

Privacy & Data Handling

  • Optional consent checkbox on the apply form, linked to a configurable Privacy Policy URL.
  • Resumes are encrypted at rest on disk (AES-256) as they are uploaded; if encryption cannot complete, the failure is logged and does not block the application submission.
  • WordPress privacy tools integration (Tools > Export/Erase Personal Data) for applicant records.

Admin

  • Super User / Recruiter role model with per-job visibility scoping, enforced server-side on every admin screen – unlimited seats, assigned from WordPress’s own Users screen.
  • Settings Center with six tabs: General (company information, careers behavior, application security, resume upload rules), Job Listings (layout, visibility, and labels), Search (which filters appear and their placeholder text), Apply Form (mark each field required, optional, or disabled), Email Notifications (the candidate confirmation email’s subject and template), and Branding (colors and button style for public recruitment pages).
  • Contact Us form and an in-admin Support page.

External Services

This plugin can connect to the following third-party services. Google reCAPTCHA only activates once an administrator configures and enables it in Settings – it does not run or send data by default. The CMAA Softwares Contact Service requires no such configuration; it only sends data when an administrator manually fills in and submits the plugin’s Contact Us form.

Google reCAPTCHA v3 (optional, application-form spam protection)
Verifies that a job application was submitted by a human, not a bot. When enabled, the applicant’s browser communicates with Google’s reCAPTCHA service at submission time; on receiving the response, this plugin’s own server also sends that response token, your reCAPTCHA secret key, and the applicant’s IP address to Google’s verification endpoint (https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api/siteverify) to confirm it.

CMAA Softwares Contact Service (optional, admin-initiated)
The plugin provides a Contact Us screen in the admin area that lets a site administrator send a message to CMAA Softwares support. When that form is submitted, the information entered – name, email address, phone number, company name, message, and the site’s URL – is sent by email to CMAA Softwares (plugins@cmaasoftwares.com) so we can respond to the request. Nothing is sent unless an administrator fills in and submits this form.

FAQ

Is CMAA Recruit really free to use?

Yes. There are no paid-plan limits – unlimited job listings, unlimited applications, and unlimited recruiter seats.

Does this work with any WordPress theme?

Yes. Job listings and the application form render using your active theme’s own styling, and can also be placed via the included Gutenberg block or Elementor widget.

How do candidates check their application status?

Every application gets a private, unique status-check link with no login required, shown right after they apply.

Is there a paid version?

Yes – CMAA Recruit Pro adds a Kanban hiring pipeline, a candidate database, interview scheduling, analytics, and more, sold separately at cmaasoftwares.com. It’s a genuinely separate product: nothing in this free plugin is limited, disabled, or time-restricted to encourage upgrading.
