CitePin

Description

CitePin helps your business get cited by AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Google AI) and win local search. From your WordPress dashboard you can:

  • Generate full articles — turn a topic/keyword into a complete, AEO-optimized article saved as a draft.
  • Run a Local / Google Business Profile audit — get a local score, profile breakdown, and prioritized fixes.
  • Build local citations — get a NAP kit, the exact directories to submit to, and ready-to-paste listing descriptions.
  • Import drafts from CitePin — pull any article you generated in CitePin in as a WordPress draft. Works even on sites that block incoming REST connections, because the plugin reaches out to CitePin and saves the draft locally.

Generated content is created as a standard WordPress draft, so it inherits your theme’s styling automatically.

A free CitePin account is required (a Pro plan is required for content generation and audits). Get an API key at https://app.citepin.com Account API key.

External services

This plugin connects to the CitePin API (https://app.citepin.com) to generate content and run audits. This is required for the plugin to function.

  • What is sent, and when: When you click “Generate” the plugin sends the topic/keyword, content type, audience, and your site URL. When you click “Run audit” it sends the business name, city, category, and your site URL. Requests are sent only when you take those actions, and are authenticated with the API key you enter in Settings.
  • Service provider: CitePin (Need A Name Media).
