Description
JPYC payments for WooCommerce. This plugin adds a “Pay with JPYC” payment method to your WooCommerce checkout, using the CIHPAY gateway.
JPYC is a Japanese-yen stablecoin (1 JPYC = 1 yen). Your prices stay in yen, and the customer pays the same number of JPYC on the Polygon network.
How it works
- The customer chooses “Pay with JPYC” at checkout and places the order.
- They are sent to the CIHPAY payment page and pay from their own wallet (WalletConnect). There is no gas fee for the customer.
- They come back to your “order received” page. Coming back does not mean paid — the order stays pending payment.
- CIHPAY sends a signed notification (webhook) to your site. Only after the signature, shop ID, timestamp and amount all match is the order marked paid. The same notification arriving several times completes the order only once.
Non-custodial. Funds go to your own receiving address. Neither your site nor this plugin holds customer funds.
Features
- Works with both the Checkout block and the classic (shortcode) checkout.
- Compatible with High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS).
- Set up by pasting the shop configuration issued by CIHWEB. Shop ID, receiving address and secret are shown read-only and can only be changed by pasting a new configuration, so an ordinary save can never overwrite them.
- The shop secret is never shown on the settings screen; it displays only as a masked placeholder once saved.
- Every payment attempt gets its own ID, so a customer can safely retry from “Pay for order”.
- If the paid amount does not match the order, the order is put on hold for you to check instead of being completed.
- Optional debug log in WooCommerce Status Logs (secrets are never logged).
Requirements
- WooCommerce, with the store currency set to Japanese yen (JPY).
- Your site must use HTTPS.
- A CIHPAY shop account (shop ID, shop secret and receiving address), issued by CIHWEB.
External services
This plugin connects to the CIHPAY payment gateway operated by CIH GK (CIHWEB). Nothing is sent until a customer chooses JPYC and places an order.
What is sent and when: when a customer places an order with this payment method, their browser is redirected to the CIHPAY gateway (by default https://cih-pay.com/pay/index.php) with: your shop ID, a payment attempt ID, the order amount in yen, the return URL of your “order received” page, a one-time nonce, the mode (test/live) and your receiving address, signed with HMAC-SHA256 using your shop secret. No customer name, email or address is sent.
What is received: CIHPAY sends a payment notification (webhook) to the webhook URL registered for your shop (shown on the settings screen), containing the event type, the attempt ID, your shop ID, the transaction hash, the amount and a timestamp, signed with your shop secret. The plugin verifies the signature before changing any order.
When the mode is Live, the order screen links the transaction hash to the public Polygon block explorer (https://polygonscan.com). This is only a link; the plugin does not contact that site.

FAQ
-
The payment method does not appear at checkout
-
Check that it is enabled, that Shop ID, Shop secret and Receiving address are saved, and that the store currency is JPY. The settings screen shows a warning for each missing item.
-
The customer paid but the order is still “Pending payment”
-
The order is completed by the webhook, not by the customer’s return. Check that the Webhook URL on the settings screen is registered in CIHPAY, and look at WooCommerce Status Logs (source: cihweb-checkout) for rejected notifications.
-
Why is an order “On hold” after payment?
-
The amount reported by CIHPAY did not match the order total. The order note shows both amounts and the transaction hash so you can check and complete it manually.
-
Does it support USDC?
-
Not yet. Only JPYC is supported in this version.
-
Can I use it with the older “JPYC Gateway for WooCommerce” plugin?
-
They can be active at the same time, but customers would see two JPYC options. Paste the same shop configuration into this plugin, register the new Webhook URL in CIHPAY, test, then deactivate the older plugin.
