Create product options and product add-ons for selected products or categories, with conditional logic, validation and pricing. Customer values are stored through WooCommerce order APIs compatible with HPOS.

Source Code and Build

The JavaScript in assets/admin/admin.js and assets/frontend/checkout.js is the human-readable source itself. Both files are included in the plugin package; neither is a compiled or minified output. The remaining JavaScript and CSS files under assets/ are also shipped as their editable source. There are no third-party JavaScript bundles or build-time dependencies.

To package a release from the directory containing the plugin folder, run zip -r ahmedyahia-checkout-fields-product-options.zip ahmedyahia-checkout-fields-product-options -x 'ahmedyahia-checkout-fields-product-options/tests/*' '*/.DS_Store'. The ZIP must contain the ahmedyahia-checkout-fields-product-options/ root directory. PHP source lives under src/ and requires no compilation.

Privacy

The plugin does not send customer data to its author or another external service. Store administrators choose which custom values are saved to orders, customer profiles, emails, invoices and REST responses. Uploaded files are stored and served through protected plugin workflows.

Security

Administrative APIs require the manage_woocommerce capability. Browser-based REST requests use a WordPress REST nonce; other REST clients use WordPress authentication. Submitted values are sanitized by field type and validated on the server. Order data uses WooCommerce CRUD APIs.

Installation

Install and activate WooCommerce.
Upload and activate CheckoutLoom – Checkout Fields & Product Options for WooCommerce.
Open WooCommerce Checkout Fields.
Add a field or select a ready-made template, then save changes.
Place a test order before using the configuration in production.

FAQ

Does it support Checkout Blocks?: Text, select, checkbox and date fields use WooCommerce’s Additional Checkout Fields API. Core address fields can be hidden or made optional in Checkout Blocks when billing and shipping settings agree; the plugin synchronizes those shared settings through WooCommerce’s country locale. Checkout Blocks use one shared address schema, so independent billing/shipping visibility and requirement settings, arbitrary custom positions, and unsupported field types still require classic checkout. Do not hide the country selector. Test field changes with your payment and shipping methods before using them on a live store.
Can product fields appear in the WooCommerce mobile app?: Values are saved as order line metadata that authorized REST clients can read. The official app does not currently create native editable controls for arbitrary third-party checkout fields.
Does it support WPML?: The plugin registers field labels, placeholders, descriptions, choice labels, fee labels, section text and validation messages with WPML String Translation when that component is active.
Is this an automatic update for a previously branded package?: No. This public-directory package has a new plugin slug and prefixed data keys, so WordPress treats it as a separate plugin. Back up the site first. Export the former plugin’s settings as JSON, deactivate it, activate this package, then import the settings and place a test order. Historical order metadata is not renamed automatically; retain a backup of the former plugin and verify any invoice or mobile workflows that need those historical values.
Which invoice plugins are supported?: The plugin includes output integrations for WP Overnight PDF Invoices & Packing Slips, Print Invoice & Delivery Notes, and WooCommerce Print Invoices & Packing Lists. Other invoice templates may read the stored order metadata, but their layout should be tested separately.
Is pricing protected from browser manipulation?: Yes. Configured fees, option prices and product add-ons are recalculated from stored settings on the server.
