EasySocial Messaging Automation

Description

EasySocial Messaging Automation – an official Meta Partner – brings the power of WhatsApp commerce to your WooCommerce store:

  • Abandoned-Cart Recovery — automatically track carts and re-engage customers via WhatsApp before they leave for good.
  • One-Click Catalog Sync — push your entire WooCommerce catalog to WhatsApp Business in a single click.
  • AI Product Search — “Type Less, Shop More”: let customers find products by describing what they want in natural language.
  • Smart WhatsApp Chatbot — customers can check order status, cancel orders, initiate returns, or place new orders entirely from WhatsApp chat.

How It Works

EasySocial Messaging Automation adds two custom database tables to your WordPress installation:

  1. {prefix}easysocial_abandoned_carts — stores active cart data (session ID, contact details, cart contents).
  2. {prefix}easysocial_deleted_products — logs product deletions/trashes so your WhatsApp catalog stays in sync.

Cart data is captured at three touch-points:

  • woocommerce_cart_updated — fires on every server-side cart change.
  • WooCommerce Store API — captures guest contact details entered during block-based checkout.
  • Live AJAX capture — a lightweight JS snippet on the checkout page sends field changes in real time.

Requirements

  • WordPress 6.1 or higher
  • WooCommerce (active and up-to-date)
  • An active EasySocial account — sign up free at easysocial.io

Privacy

EasySocial Messaging Automation stores customer first name, last name, email, phone number, cart contents, and shipping address in your own database. This data is used solely to power abandoned-cart recovery messages sent through the EasySocial platform. No data is stored on EasySocial servers without an active account connection.

Installation

  1. Install and activate WooCommerce first.
  2. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins Add New Plugin Upload Plugin.
  3. Upload cartgenie.zip and click Install Now, then Activate Plugin.
  4. Log in to your EasySocial dashboard and connect your WooCommerce store.

Alternatively, install via FTP:

  1. Unzip cartgenie.zip.
  2. Upload the cartgenie folder to /wp-content/plugins/.
  3. Activate EasySocial Messaging Automation via Plugins in the WordPress admin.

FAQ

Do I need an EasySocial account?

Yes. EasySocial Messaging Automation connects your WooCommerce store to the EasySocial platform, which manages WhatsApp messaging, catalog synchronisation, and the AI chatbot. You can create a free account at easysocial.io.

Which WhatsApp API does this use?

EasySocial Messaging Automation uses the official WhatsApp Cloud API provided by Meta. EasySocial is a verified Meta Business Partner.

Does it work with the WooCommerce Block Checkout?

Yes. Cart data is captured both from the classic checkout (via the woocommerce_cart_updated hook and live AJAX) and from the block-based checkout (via the WooCommerce Store API).

Will it slow down my store?

EasySocial Messaging Automation uses WordPress object caching (wp_cache_get / wp_cache_set) for all read operations, so repeated database queries are avoided. Write operations (insert/update/delete) are minimal and occur only on genuine cart changes.

What happens to my data if I deactivate the plugin?

Deactivating the plugin leaves your data intact. To fully remove all data, uninstall the plugin (delete it from the Plugins screen). The uninstall routine drops both custom tables and removes all plugin options.

I was using an older version of this plugin. Will my data migrate?

Yes. On the first load after upgrading, EasySocial Messaging Automation automatically detects the old tables and copies their data into the new tables.
