For deck guides, set reviews and tier lists. Type a card name in double brackets and it links to that card’s price page on CardPrices.io, with the art and current market price on hover.
[[Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring]]links a card from your default game.[[pokemon:Charizard ex]]links a card from another game.- Names that match no card stay plain text, so a typo never makes a broken link.
- Links are written into your page’s HTML, not added later by JavaScript.

This plugin uses the CardPrices.io service (https://cardprices.io), which is run by the plugin’s author.
- When a post containing
[[Card Name]]is shown, the plugin askshttps://cardprices.io/embed/{game}/preview/{card name}whether the card exists and for its page address. Only the game and card name are sent. Answers are cached on your site for a week. - With hover previews on, a reader’s browser asks the same address for the card’s art and price when they hover a card link. The request carries the reader’s IP address and browser details, as any web request does. Card images load from the CardPrices.io image servers.
- The price widget shortcode embeds
https://cardprices.io/embed/{game}/card/{card name}in an iframe.
CardPrices.io does not set cookies or track readers through these requests.

Installation
- Install and activate the plugin.
- Go to Settings CardPrices.io Card Links and pick your default game.
- Write

Does it slow my pages down?

Each card name is looked up once and cached for a week. A page view checks at most 20 new names; any beyond that are linked without checking and looked up on a later view. The preview script is about 4 KB gzipped and loads asynchronously.

Can I turn off the hover preview?

Yes, in Settings CardPrices.io Card Links. The links stay.

What about cards whose names contain a colon?

Only a supported game id before the colon is read as a game, so
[[Number 39: Utopia]]works as written.
