BWD LadderFlow – Product Journey Engine

Description

Turn every WooCommerce purchase into the start of a clear customer journey. LadderFlow is a value-ladder and post-purchase marketing automation plugin built for WooCommerce.

Start with a downloadable PDF, course, sample, or physical lead magnet. After WooCommerce confirms each mapped purchase, LadderFlow schedules the next offer through the channels the customer explicitly selected. Keep adding onboarding, core, mid-value, high-value, continuity, or custom offers—there is no ladder or step limit in the free plugin.

Because LadderFlow works with your existing WooCommerce products, checkout, payments, orders, shipping, subscriptions, and downloadable-file access stay inside the tools you already use. You control the products, timing, consent, and channel-specific message for every step.

What you can build

  • Unlimited value ladders and unlimited product steps.
  • Free digital or physical lead magnets using normal WooCommerce checkout and fulfilment.
  • Onboarding special offers, core products, mid-value products, high-value products, subscriptions, and custom steps.
  • Per-step delay in minutes, hours, days, or weeks.
  • Per-step Email, WhatsApp, and SMS channel selection.
  • Separate optional consent for each channel in classic Checkout and Checkout Blocks.
  • A responsive [ladderflow_offer] product/consent card for any WordPress page.
  • Message tokens: {first_name}, {last_name}, {product_name}, {price}, {offer_url}, {coupon_code}, {site_name}, and {unsubscribe_url}.
  • Signed one-click channel unsubscribe links.
  • Quiet hours in the WordPress site timezone.
  • Delivery retries with duplicate protection.
  • Contact progress, purchases, refunds, messages, failures, and opt-outs in one event ledger.
  • WordPress privacy export and erase support.
  • WooCommerce HPOS and Checkout Block compatibility declarations.

Why stores choose LadderFlow

  • Build a complete WooCommerce sales funnel without moving checkout to a hosted funnel service.
  • Recommend the next relevant product only after a mapped purchase.
  • Write a different message for Email, WhatsApp, and SMS instead of sending one generic message everywhere.
  • Keep consent, opt-outs, delivery attempts, purchase progress, and refunds visible from WordPress.
  • Start with a useful lead magnet and grow the journey at your own pace.

LadderFlow Pro

The free plugin includes unlimited value ladders and product steps. LadderFlow Pro is a separate add-on for stores that need channel fallback, signed HMAC webhooks, journey intelligence, CSV exports, licensing, and automatic updates.

Delivery providers

  • Email: WordPress wp_mail(). Use your host, a free SMTP provider, or an existing Amazon SES/SMTP plugin without changing LadderFlow.
  • WhatsApp: TextMeBot. LadderFlow enforces an eight-second request window and requires the API response to contain both status: success and comment: Message sent before recording the request as sent.
  • Bangladesh SMS: Alpha SMS (sms.bd).
  • International SMS: Twilio Programmable Messaging.
  • Other SMS providers: A generic HTTPS JSON webhook sends to, message, and sender values.

Provider acceptance is not the same as handset delivery. Where a provider returns only an accepted or queued state, LadderFlow labels it that way.

Built for responsible marketing

LadderFlow sends no marketing message without channel consent. It does not track site administrators, phone home for analytics, or load remote admin assets. External APIs are contacted only after an administrator configures that provider and an opted-in contact reaches a matching step (or the administrator sends a controlled provider test).

LadderFlow is made by Best WP Developer. Branding and product links stay inside LadderFlow admin pages; no public “Powered by” link is added.

External services

LadderFlow can communicate with the following third-party services. None is contacted until an administrator configures the corresponding provider and either an opted-in contact reaches a selected channel or an administrator requests a test.

TextMeBot (optional WhatsApp provider)

When used, LadderFlow sends the recipient telephone number, rendered message, and the store’s TextMeBot API key to https://api.textmebot.com/send.php. This is required to ask TextMeBot to send the WhatsApp message.

TextMeBot is a third-party personal WhatsApp API, not Meta’s official WhatsApp Business Cloud API. Its published guidance warns about unexpected-recipient messages, possible WhatsApp account blocking, and business use at the user’s own risk. Review the current service terms and suitability before enabling it for a store.

  • Service: https://textmebot.com/
  • Terms: https://textmebot.com/terms/
  • Privacy: https://textmebot.com/privacy/

Alpha SMS / sms.bd (optional Bangladesh SMS provider)

When used, LadderFlow sends the recipient telephone number, rendered message, optional sender ID, and the store’s API key to https://api.sms.net.bd/sendsms.

  • Service and API: https://sms.bd/api
  • Terms: https://sms.bd/Terms_Condition/

Twilio (optional international SMS provider)

When used, LadderFlow sends the recipient telephone number, rendered message, configured sender or Messaging Service SID, Account SID, and authentication to Twilio’s Messages API.

  • API: https://www.twilio.com/docs/messaging/api/message-resource
  • Terms: https://www.twilio.com/legal/tos
  • Privacy: https://www.twilio.com/en-us/legal/privacy

Administrator-configured generic SMS webhook (optional)

The administrator may enter an arbitrary HTTPS SMS gateway endpoint. When used, LadderFlow sends the recipient number, message, sender, and optional bearer token to that endpoint. Because the endpoint is chosen by the site owner, its terms and privacy policy must be reviewed and disclosed by the site owner.

WordPress email transport

LadderFlow uses wp_mail(). The destination email address, subject, and message are passed to whichever mail transport the site owner has configured. That may be the web host or a separate SMTP/email plugin. Review that transport’s disclosures separately.

FAQ

Can the lead magnet be a physical product?

Yes. LadderFlow adds the selected product to the normal WooCommerce checkout. WooCommerce collects shipping details, calculates shipping according to your store settings, and manages fulfilment. LadderFlow advances only when the matching order reaches a paid/processing/completed state.

Can I use a PDF or another downloadable file?

Yes. Create a downloadable WooCommerce product, attach the file using WooCommerce, set the price you want (including zero), and select it as the lead magnet step. WooCommerce remains responsible for secure download permissions.

Is the free plugin limited to one funnel or five steps?

No. The WordPress.org package contains real unlimited ladders and steps. LadderFlow Pro is a separate add-on with additional code for advanced automation and reporting; premium code is not hidden or locked inside this plugin.

Does LadderFlow include an email delivery service?

No. It calls WordPress wp_mail(), so it works with your server mail transport and common SMTP or Amazon SES plugins. Configure and test that transport separately.

Does “sent” mean a WhatsApp or SMS reached the phone?

Not always. TextMeBot is recorded as sent only after its documented success response. Alpha SMS and Twilio may initially return accepted or queued. Final handset delivery depends on the provider, carrier, destination, and account compliance.

Does SMS work in every country?

Twilio and other gateways support many destinations, but country, sender registration, carrier, and content rules vary. The generic webhook makes regional gateways possible; the store owner remains responsible for verifying a provider’s destination coverage and messaging rules.

Does LadderFlow guarantee legal compliance?

No. It provides separate consent capture, unsubscribe tools, quiet hours, and privacy integrations, but laws and provider policies vary. Configure copy, retention, sender registration, and campaign rules for your jurisdiction with appropriate professional advice.
