BuddyPress Default Data

Description

Plugin will create lots of users, messages, friends connections, groups, topics, activity items, profile data – useful for testing purpose.

All imported users will have avatars, generated by 8biticon.com and displayed by Gravatar.

Please use this plugin with caution and not on a live site! Again, USE FOR TESTING THEMES AND PLUGINGS, NOT ON A STAGING SITE WITH LIVE DATA. Plugin should not mess with your live data, but not guaranteed.

Clear BuddyPress button will delete all data, that was generated by this plugin: messages, groups, notifications, friends, forum posts, xprofile. Plugin won’t reimport data if clicked twice.

And turn off email notifications in profile (friendship accepted and messages received) – or you will spam yourself 🙂 Imported users have these settings already turned off.

Quick Test Data for BuddyPress and bbPress

For testing in localhost (development site) this plugin is awesome, adds a bunch of Users, Groups, Topics, Activity etc… everything needed for testing in a non-production site without having to manually create dozens of users and test groups etc…. I’m developing a BuddyPress/bbPress feature for a plugin I develop https://wordpress.org/plugins/display-widgets-seo-plus/ (adding widget logic for BuddyPress/bbPress) and this has saved me a lot of time setting up a test environment.

Under no circumstance use on a live production site. If you use this on an important forum it’s going to make a mess, your current users will have the new Activity items etc… associated with them, they’ll have friends associated with them, only use for testing on a site you plan to delete afterwards.

Also the Users added all have the same password, so any idiot who knows this plugin exists can log into your forum using those users and passwords: no more of a threat than any user on a forum, but would make it easy to add SPAM to your forum.

Don’t use on a live site.

Spam – generates content even after deleting plugin

Do NOT install this plugin if you have any users. This plugin generates activity/content for all users on the site (not just the users created with the plugin). Even after the plugin is deleted, content with links to plugin is still being generated. For example, I created new extended profile fields and they are being populated by the plugin even after the plugin has been deleted!

Excellent

Installation facile, activation en 1 clic ou presque.
Il fait ce qu’on lui demande, crée des groupes, des utilisateurs, du contenu, ….
Idéal pour le developpement, peut servir pour la formation.

Bravo et merci.
