Description
Boze Systems Password Visibility Toggle adds an eye button to the password field of the standard WP-Members login form. Click the button to show or hide the password, or use Tab followed by Enter or Space.
- Requires the WP-Members Membership Plugin (wp-members).
- Translatable labels with English source strings. Translations are provided through WordPress.org language packs when available.
- Hides the password on form submission, reset, and page restoration.
- No settings, external services, tracking, or additional runtime libraries.
- Does not read, collect, store, log, or transmit password values. The existing login form still submits credentials normally.
This is an independent add-on and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the WP-Members author.
Scope
Supports the standard form with ID wpmem_login_form and password input named pwd. Registration, password-change forms, custom widgets, renamed forms, and forms inserted after page initialization are not supported. Themes must call the standard WordPress head and footer hooks.

FAQ
-
How do I migrate from wp-members-password-eye or password-eye-for-wp-members?
-
Deactivate the old plugin before installing and activating this renamed plugin. WordPress treats the new directory as a separate plugin. Do not activate both at the same time. There are no plugin settings to migrate.
日本語: 旧版を無効化してから新しいZIPをインストール・有効化してください。旧版との同時有効化は避けてください。移行する設定データはありません。
-
Does this change authentication or save passwords?
-
No. It changes only the existing input’s display type. Authentication and submission remain the responsibility of the original form.
-
Check that WP-Members is active and the standard login form is used. Clear page caches after updating. JavaScript must be enabled. Disable any previous password-toggle snippet to avoid duplicate controls from another implementation.
-
Can I use it with Code Snippets?
-
Do not enable an equivalent snippet at the same time as this plugin.
-
How do I remove it?
-
Deactivate and delete the plugin. It creates no database settings or tables.
-
Which PHP version is required?
-
PHP 8.2 or later is the supported baseline. The toggle does not technically require PHP 8.2-specific language features.
