Description
BoatApps Price Compass records product and variation prices and displays the lowest recorded price in the configured reference period before a reduction began. This price-history information can help merchants meet price-transparency duties, including requirements associated with the EU Omnibus Directive.
Free includes WooCommerce regular and scheduled sale prices, simple and variable products, a daily evidence snapshot, a shortcode, catalog display, diagnostics, and configurable customer messages.
The plugin only reports price history it has recorded. Install it before announcing a reduction and verify your store’s pricing configuration. The plugin does not provide legal advice or guarantee compliance with any law or regulation. Merchants remain responsible for deciding which rules apply to their store and for obtaining professional advice when needed.
Price Compass does not detect reductions created outside native WooCommerce prices, such as coupons, cart discounts, custom dynamic-pricing code, or third-party multi-currency conversions. Those integrations are outside the Free edition.

No. The plugin starts collecting evidence when it is activated. Record an initial snapshot before announcing a reduction.

Yes. Each variation has its own history and the customer message changes with the selected variation.

Does it support coupons, dynamic pricing, or multiple currencies?

The Free edition tracks native WooCommerce product and sale prices in the store currency. It does not claim to track reductions created by other pricing systems.

Does installing the plugin guarantee legal compliance?

No software can guarantee compliance for every promotion and storefront. Price Compass supports record keeping and presentation; the merchant remains responsible for store configuration, promotion wording, and legal review.

Does the plugin send my product price history to BoatApps?

No. Price history remains in the site’s WordPress database. The optional Freemius connection is used for the plugin account, licensing and updates; it does not transmit WooCommerce price history or customer records.
