Description
BoatApps Dealer Map provides a complete dealer directory with a locally bundled SVG world map. Add as many dealers as you need and place the map and list on any page using a block or shortcode.
Choose each dealer’s country and administrative region in a dedicated form. The plugin places an approximate marker automatically. Visitors can search the directory and select countries to filter the dealer list.
Features
- Any number of dealers, with no account, license, quota, or time limit required.
- One ready-to-use Light design: a responsive map above the dealer list.
- Search and country filtering, including clicking countries on the map.
- Dealer logo, country, region, city, address, description, website, email, and phone.
- A combined map-and-list block with a live editor preview.
- The [dealer_locator] shortcode, usable on any number of pages.
- Custom headings and an option to hide the heading when embedding.
- Keyboard navigation, visible focus states, and reduced-motion support.
- Localized country names and translation-ready administration.
- No Google Maps, Leaflet, external map API, or geocoding account.
All features included in this package are available without payment. BoatApps Dealer Map Pro is a separate commercial add-on, distributed outside WordPress.org. It provides independent map configurations, map-specific dealer selections, additional layouts and themes, separate map/list blocks, and visual customization. None of that add-on’s implementation is included in this package. Both editions support any number of dealers.

Optional heading attributes:

Privacy
The frontend does not send dealer data, visitor searches, or map interactions to an external service and does not set frontend cookies. All runtime map and location datasets are bundled locally.
The plugin includes the Freemius SDK for optional usage analytics, account management, and discovery of the separate Pro add-on. Administrators can skip connecting to Freemius. If they opt in, Freemius may receive administrator profile, website, product, theme, and plugin information according to the selected permissions. Purchasing or activating Pro requires a separate connection to Freemius. Free updates are distributed through WordPress.org.

FAQ
-
How many dealers can I add?
-
There is no dealer limit. The free plugin works without a subscription or license.
-
Are the markers exact street locations?
-
No. Markers use the center of the selected administrative region, with a country-center fallback. They are approximate locations, not navigation directions.
-
Can I place the locator on several pages?
-
Yes. Every instance shows the dealer directory and has independent search and country selection.
-
What happens if I remove the plugin?
-
Dealer records and settings are preserved to prevent accidental data loss.
-
Can I use it without connecting to Freemius?
-
Yes. Skip the optional connection during activation. The free dealer directory remains fully functional.
-
What changed in 0.31.2?
-
The WordPress.org contributor identifier was corrected to the account login
sosinsky. WordPress.org displays the BoatApps profile name associated with that account.
