BitHub Site Exporter for WooCommerce

Description

BitHub Site Exporter provides a server-to-server pull API for migrations and integrations. WordPress never uploads data by itself: an administrator enables temporary access and the external system connects to the WordPress REST API over HTTPS.

The public edition exports:

  • WooCommerce products, variations, categories, brands, attributes and images.
  • WooCommerce customer profiles and billing/shipping data.
  • WooCommerce orders using the CRUD layer, including HPOS stores.
  • Coupons.
  • WordPress pages and posts with source permalinks.
  • Yoast SEO and Rank Math metadata for products, content and product categories.

The public edition does not export WordPress password hashes and contains no SQL executor.

Temporary authentication

Open Tools > Site Exporter, choose 15 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours or 24 hours, and enable access. A random token is generated automatically and shown once. WordPress stores only a one-way hash of the token.

Send the token using:

X-BitHub-Export-Token: your-token

or a Bearer authorization header. Tokens in query strings are not accepted.

API contract

Base namespace:

/wp-json/bithub-export/v1/

Routes: summary, products, customers, orders, coupons, content, seo, query.

The query route is reserved for API compatibility with private migration tooling and always returns “feature unavailable” in this public edition. No SQL statement is executed by this plugin.

The summary response includes a capabilities object so clients can detect optional features.

Privacy

The plugin exposes store and customer information only while an administrator has explicitly enabled temporary authenticated access. It does not send data to a third party and does not create export files on disk.

Installation

  1. Install and activate the plugin.
  2. Open Tools > Site Exporter.
  3. Enable temporary access.
  4. Copy the API base URL and one-time token into your integration.
  5. Disable access as soon as the export is complete.

HTTPS is required outside localhost.

FAQ

Does the plugin send my data to BitHub?

No. There are no outbound connections, telemetry or tracking. Your own integration connects to the REST endpoints on your WordPress site.

Are customer password hashes exported?

No. The public WordPress.org edition always returns password: null for customers.

Does it work with HPOS?

Orders are read through WooCommerce CRUD functions rather than relying only on legacy order posts.

Which SEO plugins are supported?

The first release reads common Yoast SEO and Rank Math metadata.
