- Media Library scanning, image SEO metadata generation and safe image compression for the 150 most recent media items.
- Built-in performance diagnostics for response time, HTML weight, scripts, stylesheets, images, cache/compression signals and local WordPress indicators.
- Reviewed WordPress-level performance fixes with a rollback snapshot.
- LMS-aware content scanning for supported course systems.
- Curated XML sitemap generation and XML download.
- Detection of common SEO plugins including Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress and SiteSEO.
Backing U SEO Pro is a separate commercial plugin available from the Backing U Development Hub. Pro adds bulk SEO editing and rollback, schema tools, unlimited Media Library optimisation, internal-link automation, Google PageSpeed Insights enhancements, first-party analytics and Google Search Console integration.
The Pro implementation is not bundled inside this WordPress.org package. Locked Pro pages in Lite are static feature previews with an optional upgrade link.

Does the SEO Audit change my pages?

No. The general Lite SEO Audit is read-only. Media Optimiser can write attachment metadata only after you explicitly save it.

Is Local Keyword Rank available in Lite?

Yes. The industry keyword engine, local variations, page-fit analysis and Roll Another 50 feature are available in Lite. Pro can additionally overlay Search Console query performance for owned properties.

What is the Media Optimiser limit?

Lite can edit and optimise the 150 most recent Media Library items. If a site has a larger library, older items remain visible but require Pro for optimisation. This is a permanent Lite scope, not a time-limited trial or consumable credit.

Does Performance require a PageSpeed API key?

No. Lite includes the built-in WordPress/page performance scanner and reviewed local fixes. Pro can optionally combine those results with Google PageSpeed Insights and Lighthouse/Core Web Vitals data.

Which SEO plugins can Lite read?

Lite can read common metadata from Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress and SiteSEO. The Media Optimiser can also sync attachment title, keyphrase and description into the selected integration.

Does Lite work with LMS course content?

It can detect course post types from Tutor LMS, Masteriyo, LearnPress, Academy LMS, Sensei LMS and MasterStudy LMS where those integrations are available on the site.

Will my Lite settings carry over to Pro?

Yes. The commercial Pro package imports compatible Lite setup values during activation and then deactivates Lite to avoid duplicate menus and sitemap endpoints.
